Any branch counts. Would like to know your experiences. I leave February 19th for Air Force basic, and although I've done a lot of research I'm curious to see what you guys thought of your experiences.

No, but my father is in the Military (Army) and from what he said it wasn't hard you just have to have a decent amount of stamina.

Endless mind destroying waiting. Across all branches. Air force basic will be challenging, just in a different way than Army or Marines. White glove inspection anyone? |
this is what i always hear from my frriedns in the service. its 90% waiting for something to happen and 10% shit going crazy. I've heard that the air force is as physically demanding as the others.

Was never really worried about the physical aspect as I've spent the last 5-6 months training really hard (running + gym). But yeah that's mainly why I joined the AirForce instead of the other branches; to focus on education and 'orderliness' instead of being a grunt.
I haven't but people have told me to make sure you don't drop the soap.
I will be leaving for basic on February 12th so I might see you there! From what I have been told and read, there is not much to worry about. Just do what you are told, listen to instruction, and be in good physical shape before you leave. You will get yelled at but just remember it is a game and keep your head up.

Exactly it's all mental and just keep your cool. Also I've been told that you shouldn't be unique and try to stand out during basic. You basically want to be invisible. So you're in AirForce too right? You going to Lackland???
