In the west, arguably Assassin's Creed, Call of Duty, Need for Speed plus Madden & FIFA. All games which Wii-U has it in its launch window. Yes, the Call of Duty & Assassin's Creed were original games, but are you really trying to say that Black Ops Declassified was an example of "solid" 3rd party support? In Japan, I only really see Persona & Miku (possibly Gundam & Tales of Innocence as well). None of them even remotely as big an IP as Dragon Quest which Wii-U is again getting in its launch window. Other than that, it's pretty much just ports. Which is simply a product of having been on the market for 1 year 2 months instead of just 2 months (i.e. I'm sure Wii-U will have similar levels of "solid 3rd party support" when it's been on the market for a year and two months). Like I say, it's not that I don't agree with the general sentiment of your post - Wii-U will pick up steam once it gets proper first party titles, and I'm sure it'll overtake Vita at that point. I just don't really see why you inserted that sentence I quoted. 3rd party support for Vita has been questionable at best and laughable at most, which is arguably the reason it's struggling at the moment. |
Those Vita games you mentioned is still better 3rd party support than Nintendo has seen for years ^^ What I meant was that Vita doesn't lack block buster franchises on it; so my wording wasn't the best perhaps. And compare those with the PORTS Wii U has gotten; ports that can be found on PS360, which has an installbase of 140m..
I'm on Twitter @DanneSandin!
Furthermore, I think VGChartz should add a "Like"-button.
