I think a $199 Ps3 would sell boatloads.

Doubt we'll see any noticeable software impact. Hardware will probably suffer though. It depends on how hyped the console is. This includes what kind of revolutionary features and what kind of games will be at launch.

Won't effect the sales they'll get from me. I plan on riding out the PS3 but I really hope PS4 has some way to be BC even if it's a $100 attachment. I just love having one all-purpose box which would be it because I have all the PS2 games and PSone games I want on PSN or PS3 through HD collections.

Hahaha no, it's guaranteed. Sony would not let the media generate this much hype for the PS4 if it wasn't being announced.
