Game Gear rocked! 23 34.33%

Vita is a masterpiece and I think it wins. 32 47.76%

other 12 17.91%

Total:67

i'd have to go with Vita. game gear was to big, and Vita is form fitting, but not enough for me. Vita is hands down the better of the 2.

I played some Vita... and I still have my Game Gear.

I hope that's enough to say this thread is ridiculous.

Apparently Complex Magazine rated Shinobi 2 18th best handheld game of all time. So yep im sticking by the Game Gear

Still got my Game Gear. Give it play every now and then. It's a massive handheld, but I love it.

Funny you say that. Do you own a Wii U? GamePad! I know it is not a handheld, per se, but it is Large!

Yep, got a WiiU. Nothing wrong with the gamepad. Its light and comfortable. Yes its big for a controller, but it isn't an issue.

I have (still have my game gear) both. Game Gear was good for the time and the TV tuner was awesome, but the thing sucked down battery life like no tomorrow.

Given the fact that the Vita has netflix and other apps and better battery life, it beats the GG.

Does this mean I have to ban all of the users that say "I didn't play the...." in this thread? That's a lot of work. :/

The Game Gear had those awesome x-men games on it. I really would like to give it the edge but I was like....8 when I had the Game Gear so Nostalgia tends to take over. :/

Do you remember this one??

@OP: I'm going with Vita. Game Gear was fun, but a lot of the games were ports. There were some good titles -- Vampire: Master of Darkness and Jurassic Park come to mind -- but most of the library was forgettable. Vita shows a lot more promise, and many more original games.

Game Gear was freakin' cool. I remember Tails Adventures and that great Sonic Racing game. But man Vita is much more advanced, it's got Gravity Daze, it's got Project Diva f, it's got Call of Duty (eh no let's forget about that), you can play the entire digital PSP library which is hundred of hours of awesome.

And the best is yet to come : God Eater 2, Tales of Hearts R, Senran Kagura, Legend of Heroes, Tearaway, Ninja Gaiden Σ2+, Dead or Alive 5+, Killzone, etc.

I would gladly re-buy a GameGear for old times' sake, but Vita still remains the best handeld around imo.
