I've beaten everything except Ghost of Sparta. To me they are good games, but not amazing ones. Sames as kain_kusanagi I find Kratos to be very unlikeable.

Ghost of Sparta shows you why Kratos becomes so blindingly angry that he must destroy Zeus. I am sure after you beat that game you'll find out wich madhy God of War 2 picks up the way it does (which makes no sense if you dont play GOS) immediately after. Ascension delves into his life more as a family man, before he lost his way.

Ghost of Sparta is beast... Getting to know that story was so awesome, things I did not even think of. great

Yeah, otherwise God of War 2 has plot holes as to why Kratos is so damn angry and goes on a rampage after that point. Thank goodness that game came out or GOW would've been screwed up for sure.

I've beaten God of War, God of War II, and just last night God of War: Chains of Olympus.

So I'm making some good progress. One strange thing: although I would rank God of War and God of War II over it, Chains of Olympus actually endeared me to the franchise more than any other. So I'm very eager to continue the series.

Have you tried the other difficulty settings or you just beated them in normal?

Just normal. With so many games to play, I rarely linger on one game unfortunately.

Oh well, on normal the game lets you do so many things that even a reviewer can beat the game. At harder difficulty settings the game forces you to push and understand it.

God of War 3
God of War: Chains of Olympus

I'm hardly invested in it's story and know very loosely on what's going on, I played GoW3 and chains for purely gameplay reasons, I might play them all in chronological order after Ascension comes out to get a real feel for the god of war universe.

Not sure why "Trilogy" (aka Collection, I guess) wouldn't count. It's the same games just with Hi-Res graphics and Achievements.

Anyway, played GoW1 on PS2, Played Gow 2 in the Collection (which was only two games, btw) and I played Chains of Olympus and Ghost of Sparta on PSP. Finally, I played GoW3 on PS3. Pretty much got the whole story. It's not one of those series where I'd buy multiple copies of the exact same game like Batman Arkham or Metal Gear or something.

Have some time to kill? Read my shitty games blog. http://www.pixlbit.com/blogs/586/gigantor21

Never played them. The Ascension trailer has really has my attention though, so I think I'll probably start out with that one. As a prequel it won't spoil the others though, right?

I actually think you will spoil God Of War One

Has something to do with his family, wich is something that in the first one you get to know from time to time

Ok, that's good to know. I'll look into getting the collection before Ascension then, just hope I have time

PSN: Osc89

NNID: Oscar89

All.

And got Platinum.

I've played all except for God of War: Ghost of Sparta and God of War: Betrayal.
