Forums - Gaming - EA CEO is a Gabe Newell fanboy, says Next-Gen is yet to come and no link between video games and violence

"In many ways we would argue that what we're describing as 'Gen 4' is yet to come. It's that that we're excited about, and that's what we're investing in."

trying to get on everyone's nerve..

quick look at recent EA games:

bulletstorm: didn't like
burnout : fun series
crysis 2: didn't like
dead space : awesome
dead space 2 : crap
dead space 3: ?
dragon age : crap
fifa: great
mass effect: crap
nfs: i like hot pursuit a lot XD
shank : I loved it on pc

some of these games probably sold very well, but yeah, I couldn't stand them, in other words, I wouldn't care about EA support if I had a wii u.

This is pretty much a re-tread of this thread posted by Mugen a couple of days back.

You know nothing Pezus Snow!

EDIT: Unlocking. We have a thread already dedicated to EA's thoughts on Wii U, but there's other information present in the OP, so focus on that.

There is a difference between sell like crap and have vita/wii U level sales. Sell like crap would be equivelant to Ps3/360/PSP sales that are actual viable platforms. Vita/Wii U are below that and isn't a smart business move as of yet (may change sometime). The Wii U at it's current sales will be lucky to reach NES level of popularity (40million I believe. My predictions are closer to 60 mil though). Its in dire need of a turn around fast because the longer it's sales lag the harder it is to convince people to buy and developers to support it.

EA needs to build the market for it's game on the Wii u,  after years of missing EA titles do you really think people are going to start running to the stores to buy sequels, EA is sabotaging the Wii U and Vita, as it did with the Wii and Dreamcast, no system will sell without games, and the games coming to Wii u from EA have been sabotaged.
