its shown to have 90k as of Jan 19th on VGChartz

You really need to stop saying that :P.  It holds all the weight of saying "And I heard from this guy on the street who said he was CEO of Gamestop that it has over 300k pre-orders!" or similar.

I love reading the numbers here as much as the next guy, but the pre-order chart was & still is extremely flawed.

ok they might not be a hundred percent accurate but its safe to assume at least 65k-85k pre ordered from jan 19th!!

Like I said in my other post, that's not safe to assume at all :P

Persona 4 tracked 110k pre-orders on the chart, but had first week sales of 47k once all is said and done.  Persona & Fire Emblem are pretty similar examples, to be honest (both niche Japanese series with dedicated followings in America).

So the chart might not be 100% accurate, or it might not even be 40% accurate.  It's not worth using to make any assumption on sales about, especially if it's sales of a niche Japanese game.

i said under a 100k, but i didn't realize the preorders were so high. I was thinking around the 80k mark.

ok ok ok, you win, but...... At gamestop it has pre-ordered alot that they cant except anymore as of almost two weeks ago! Not only that Fire Emblem is one of the best sellers on amazon and is #2 for the wishlist!!! 1st week will sell alot, over 100k easy

I'm not saying it won't have crazy FW sales btw.  Maybe it will, maybe it won't.  Was just pointing out that if you are predicting large FW sales, it shouldn't be a judgement based on the pre-order chart here :P

im agreeing with you, you kno about VGChartz more than me, i'll believe your word, im just saying of the facts that i kno, This game at least can do 100k but you never kno it might be 250k also! 500k? thats pushing it! even 400k, but 250k is reachable depending on the shipments! just saying

Well, the VGChartz numbers are up. It says Fire Emblem: Awakening has sold 169,831 units in its first week. I assume this does not count downloaded. Of course this number could be over-tracked, but I highly doubt it is over-tracked by much (like I don't think it's over-tracked by 80,000).

actually, i dont think digital was all that included, if not we are looking at probably close to 250k or much much more!

I'm just saying that under the worstcase scenario, the sales of Fire Emblem: Awakening are still pretty damn good.

Seems like I was right.

Dang, I've been on a roll for predictions lately!
