Those pre-order charts are awful for tracking JRPGs or niche genres, there's an ioi post somewhere explaining why. We were tracking Persona 4 Golden at about ~ 110k, then we had FW sales of ~ 90k, then that got adjusted down again to 47k after NPD.

So basically, I wouldn't base ANY calculations off those pre-order charts. They overtrack Japanese games by quite a lot.

To the people predicting 250k+, you all believe this is going to outsell the DS & Wii's versions of Fire Emblem's lifetime sales in its first week?

The bundle will help, I'm sure (it's a lovely bundle) and the reviews will help even more, but still. If it does sell in that region FW, props to it, it'll be the best performing Fire Emblem game in first week sales ever. I voted 140k-160k, and I think that's probably a bit optimistic.

I'll happily be wrong though. If it's as good as the reviews are making it out to be, then it deserves to do well.

The reason I think it will outsell the other versions is because Nintendo has made this specific ones' presence much more obvious than the others.

Due to a complete lack of other software to sell until later in the year.  I'm not sure I'm feeling the Fire Emblem just because there isn't anything else to buy right now.  I think I'm just going to sit out 3DS games until Luigi comes out.

People are expecting 250k + for launch week in the US? Good God....

Well, folks. I hope I'm wrong. I predicted 100-120k, and it's only that high because of the bundle.

not including 3DS Bundle, Week Ending Jan 19 pre order chart has it at 90k. Also to note Amazon for the past week has had it at number 20 spot of best sellers(video games) and past 2 days its between 9-13 spot!

You do kno he meant just other Fire Emblem games and not other releases of this year right? If so my bad on quoting!

Yes, but my opinion is the same either way.  I don't see how that changes things.  Nintendo is pushing this Fire Emblem game in a really big way, but it's only because their other releases have been continually pushed out.  Normally a Fire Emblem release is treated as something they're doing just to satiate the niche SRPG market that the game specifically caters to.  It's only because they don't have anything else ready to sell us on February 4th that they're making such a big deal out of franchise that traditionally is not very big seller and doesn't get a lot of interest outside of the niche that is the SRPG sub-genre.

Not saying the game isn't really great for what it is, but it's by all accounts a very similar game to previous games in the series and if you aren't a fan of SRPG's you're not going to suddenly become a fan just because Nintendo is pushing it onto you for lack of other software being available to sell.

Upwards of 150k. Fire Emblem isn't as popular as some seem to think.

And what's with the poll going up to 250k+? That's crazy!

i disagree, even though you make sense people are buying this game for either a new experience or the quality of all fire emblem into this game. Dont forget Fire Emblem originally is Japan only. Lots of non japanese people kno of fire emblem cuz of SSBM. But now its so popular and thus gettin a huge support factor behind it! People arent buying it cuz there is no 3DS titles, we got other great titles coming out in these next two months. I kno alot of people buying a 3DS just to play this game. So that means this game isn't a "there is no other games from nintendo so i have to buy this one". Its just an amazing game that people want. Aside from Pokemon, this is probably the most wanted/anticipated known game of the year for the 3DS(with the exception of Luigi's Mansion

I wish I could get that sexy ass 3DS

not saying it will as i predict 210k op week, but you do realize that this game at least at gamestop, cant be pre-ordered (due to too many requests and not enough supply), its shown to have 90k as of Jan 19th on VGChartz, and Fire Emblem been on top 20 of the past week (top 12 past two days) on Amazon right? http://www.amazon.com/best-sellers-video-games/zgbs/videogames ... Also its the second most wished for game now... http://www.amazon.com/gp/most-wished-for/videogames/ref=zg_bs_tab_t_mw ...

Gamestop also got too many pre-orders for the Wii U.

We'll see. But I doubt 250k+ first week would happen.

You really need to stop saying that :P.  It holds all the weight of saying "And I heard from this guy on the street who said he was CEO of Gamestop that it has over 300k pre-orders!" or similar.

I love reading the numbers here as much as the next guy, but the pre-order chart was & still is extremely flawed.
