Yes, but my opinion is the same either way. I don't see how that changes things. Nintendo is pushing this Fire Emblem game in a really big way, but it's only because their other releases have been continually pushed out. Normally a Fire Emblem release is treated as something they're doing just to satiate the niche SRPG market that the game specifically caters to. It's only because they don't have anything else ready to sell us on February 4th that they're making such a big deal out of franchise that traditionally is not very big seller and doesn't get a lot of interest outside of the niche that is the SRPG sub-genre. Not saying the game isn't really great for what it is, but it's by all accounts a very similar game to previous games in the series and if you aren't a fan of SRPG's you're not going to suddenly become a fan just Nintendo is pushing it onto you for lack of other software being available to sell. |
i disagree, even though you make sense people are buying this game for either a new experience or the quality of all fire emblem into this game. Dont forget Fire Emblem originally is Japan only. Lots of non japanese people kno of fire emblem cuz of SSBM. But now its so popular and thus gettin a huge support factor behind it! People arent buying it cuz there is no 3DS titles, we got other great titles coming out in these next two months. I kno alot of people buying a 3DS just to play this game. So that means this game isn't a "there is no other games from nintendo so i have to buy this one". Its just an amazing game that people want. Aside from Pokemon, this is probably the most wanted/anticipated known game of the year for the 3DS(with the exception of Luigi's Mansion
