Let's face it, there are plenty of people that are feeling underwhelmed and disappointed by the upcoming offshoot of the Zelda franchise, Hyrule Warriors. As we all know by now, this future title is a third party collaboration of the Warriors series and the Zelda series. Though this combination has many fans either scratching or shaking their heads, it's important to keep in mind that there are many more of us who are excitedly looking forward to this unexpected game.

I have no doubts that some fans will scoff at my prediction, but I believe that Hyrule Warriors is exactly what Nintendo needs in a Wii U system seller. The reason behind this is quite simple; given the immense popularity of The Legend of Zelda, coupled with the "hardcore" appeal and simple, addictive gameplay of Dynasty Warriors, there's no doubt in my mind that this is going to be the game that will push plenty of Wii Us off the shelves.

What do you guys think of this prediction??

In this week's Famitsu poll of most wanted games, Hyrule Warriors placed 9th.

Impressive? Not impressive? Do you think it will be a system-seller?

I think Hyrule Warriors will be a great game and a lot of people will enjoy it (me too). But it won't move consoles. It is a good idea and the people want to see a Zelda game on the Wii U and here it is but most of the gamers are waiting for the next 'real' Zelda game. Some of them will say that they can play with Hyrule Warriors until Zelda U comes out. More games mean a better situation for the Wii U but buying a console for a Warriors game with Link on it? Really?

    I don't hate Microsoft, I don't hate PC,
    I don't prefer Sony, I don't prefer Nintendo.
...Ok, I love Nintendo but this is something about tolerance, ok?

I'm a gamer with one of the greatest hobbies and I want to share this greatness with everyone.

It's a really odd decision to have this game made. Who wants this? People are eagerly awaiting an epic HD Zelda, this looks repetitive and quite cheap... yes it was an early trailer, but there was just nothing particularly promising in it. If they're going to make a Zelda stripped off everything but combat, the combat should be really really deep and special.

Right now I'd say they're diluting the brand, and quality-wise I'm expecting Crossbow Training 2.

Of course I'm going to play it (not going to miss any Zelda game), but I'm not excited about it yet. Oh one more thing, they're not going to release Zelda U and this close to each other, so this game probably means "no Zelda U in 2014". :(

Dynasty Warriors games must do pretty well overall to keep going. Adding a Zelda texture to one certainly shouldn't hurt sales, while also broadening the appeal to beyond the typical Dynasty Warriors staple.

Good idea to get a quick zelda game out on the market if you ask me. Though I don't think it'll set the charts on fire, it'll certainly IMO d respectably.

RIP Dad 25/11/51 - 13/12/13. You will be missed but never forgotten.
