Nice! I ran into a Silver Lynel in Hyrule Castle and it took most of my weapons, arrows, and food to survive the encounter. Those things mean business.

Lol yeah mine was just a blue one, in the arena. I went to the castle some time ago because I was curious and met that silver one. I just ran for dear life, those and the white ones are insane.

Wow. My projected time after what I consider the end (all shrines and Divine Beasts, story elements and the final boss) as it's proceeding now is like 200 hours. And then I'll probably still won't even have half of all the Korok Seeds. He does everything and finds all 900 in just 49 hours? O.O
Well this is my first zelda game. I may have played the first zelda on the nes for a few minutes at someone's house 20 years ago, but i have no memory of any zelda games. Currently i am loving it. I love the sense of adventure, the freedom to move around , it really is immersive, and the ambient only sounds really does add to the experience. This is similar to shadow of colossus and demon souls, lack of music while traversing makes you feel like you're there. When i interact with characters form the towns, i don't know if it's the little sounds they make or the art style, but it reminds me of a JPRG, like okami comes to mind, ni no kuni. have all past zelda games looked like this?? Also enjoying the shrines. love the art style, the effects and small details, easily one of the best looking games ever. I just wish i had more time with the game. It sux that i have to work and marriage commitments. To really appreciate this game you need to sit down for hours every day uninterrupted. I need to take a holiday just so i can devote more time to this game.
Just pre-ordered Toon Link and Toon Zelda. Looks like they are doing another run of them
I'm ready for some awesome Wind Waker stuff in BOTW!
First nintendo ever. Wel i had an original gameboy if that counts, but no console. I bought a wii u , a pro controller just for this game. Figured id save $300/$400 and not buy a switch, since im in australia and only interested in playing zelda. If i ever get the chance, might play through wind waker and the other one released on wii u .

You mean the one from the ruins, north of the forgotten woods? It's always dark and the torches even go out again if you go too far out of range. There's one shrine in the middle you'll wander into sooner or later and you can follow the shore to find a few chests. Can't make it light. Drop some fires to light a pathway.
What do you mean by the guk?
spurgeonryan said: Is there a way t make the dark forest light? I feel like I am wasting my time lighting the pillars. Also......how to kill the guk? |
Afaik, there's no way to light up. The pillars are there to help you at the "event" in the middle of the forest. That's all.
