Pretty simple question, is there a feature that either Sony or Microsoft can implement in their next gen consoles that will force you to not buy their console? Could it be stopping used games from being played on the console? No backwards compatibility? 

My question is a little badly worded but I think you guys get the point. Also keep in mind that no matter what they do after using this feature you will still not purchase their console. Example they ban used games but then have a ton of awesome new IP's/Sequels. Nothing they do can change your mind.

Yeah, if I can't get used games, I will never buy that console. The majority of my purchases are used, and not from a store.

I can understand having games locked to an account so you could still play at a friends house as long as you login with your account or something

but i just can't see the banning of used games happening

maybe they should make a deal with gamestop to not sell used copies of games until they've been on the market for atleast 2 months

idk though because I WILL BE FORCED to get a PS4 no matter what they do because i cant go a generation without Sony. I'm good on the Nintendo side of things because they didn't implement anything crazy

I can't even attempt to think about going a whole gen without owning the PS4. I'll be DAMNED if i'm missing out on my PlayStation games and the same goes for Ninty

so uhh i guess there is nothing that they could implement to make me NOT buy it. I would complain about it but i would eventually end up getting it at some point even if i said that i wouldn't

but i hope we don't have to deal with that dumb used games bullsh!t and i'm also not going to be forced to pay for online but i know Sony wont make the online fee mandatory

If one of them charges for basic online features like multiplayer.

what if they announce they're laying off all their first party studios?  Bet that would make you think twice

right now sony has be quite hooked with ps+. i love that service massively. if sony killed that service on the ps4 i wouldn't necessarily jump ship but i would feel a lot more open in possibly moving to MS.
