Doesn't matter. I was perfectly fine with the Dual Shock and I adapted instantly to the Xbox 360 controller and now, I'm quite comfortable with the Wii U controller (and the Circle Pad Pro). I have absolutely no preference. The only issue I have is when a game asks me to quickly press a button and I press the wrong one because my mind is hard-wired to the 360's A,B,X,Y instead of the Nintendo's B,A,Y,X.

I played Asuras Wrath and RE4 HD recently.  My God I couldn't find x button.

My hands got used to the DualShock controller. So, symmetrical.

The difference genuinely does not affect me. I spend most of my time playing with a PS3 controller but when I use an Xbox controller at my friend's house I don't think "gosh these sticks are in the wrong place!" and then struggle.

What I do struggle with, as d21lewis mentions, is the actually layout of the buttons. When it says things like "press y to switch weapons" or "press x to reload" I have to physically look at the controller, by which time I'll probably be dead.   The shoulder buttons seem to be the other way around with most shooters too.  Ah well, comes with practice.

LMAO!  I remember playing Resident Evil Revelations with Rol on 3DS.  We were double teaming Raid Mode.  I got grabbed by the weakest monster there was and all I had to do was press a button (I think it was "Y") and knock it off of me.  I sat there jamming on the wrong button while it chomped me to death.  I was so embarrased.

I prefer offset and concaved analog sticks plus the 360 also has better trigger buttons that's why its still my controller of choice all the versions of the dual shock are tied for second place though. Also A,B,X,Y makes more sense then X,Circle, Triangle, Square.

yeah as a ninty fan xbox abxy is hard to get used to. however its much easier if i have already played it on ps3 because the button positions are still the same. so while playing FIFA i would be fine but with Halo its akward as shit

Symmetrical.

None of them make sense so it doesn't even matter lol...

yeah it's not like there's any rhyme or reason to face button names.  the only things that make sense are names like right/left trigger and R2/L2.

In quicktime events A,B,X,Y is a lot easier then X, Circle, Triangle, Square.
