Forums - Sony - What changes do you want to see in the Dualshock 4?

-Keep the current shape.

-Make it bigger and give it more weight.

-Make the analog sticks concave (360 style)

-Make the triggers like the ones on the PS Move Wheels.

-Make the D-Pad like the one on the Vita.

How would you make the DS4?

Around the Network
  • Swap the left stick and D-Pad (the correct position for games requiring precision control), thus freeing up the D-pad as four extra function buttons for some games
  • Move the screwholes on the back so I don't get calluses
  • Re-orient the oval cross-section of the grips by 90 degrees for the sake of ergonomics
  • Put some proper triggers on the thing

WHERE IS MY KORORINPA 3

Real 360 controller-like triggers, slightly bigger overall (5-10%), slider on the side with 3 settings (mainly for shooters, but can be used on many things), back touch pad like the Vita (maybe), make it more "shapely",like the 360 pad but not to the same extent, think of a hybrid in terms of shape between the 360 pad and DS3. Keep the same shape/placement of analogs, but they can always be improved (minimising deadzones etc.).

This would naturally be a little more weighty than the DS3.

-Vita D-Pad
-Vita touchscreen
-Vita rear-touch
So actually just a Vita in a cradle

Or
-Vita D-Pad
-Move control spheres
-Break Apart
-Vitality sensor
-Temp sensor
-Triple shock

-Get rid of the triggers
-Make it so that the plastic on the bottom side of the sticks form a small slope from the main body.
-Allow up to eight controllers on one console (prolly means they will have to ditch bluetooth ;P), seven is just a silly number and just pisses people off. Specially when you have LEDs on top that can indicate up to 15 states + the state of being turned off. (Srsly, why waste money on a fourth LED when it is completely useless in reality)

Proper triggers, keep everything else the same.

The femz demand moor vibration.. mwahahahaz....

#nextlevel

Edit: Ok, but seriously. I like the PS controller as it is, but I have small hands. I hear plenty of people with bigger hands wishing it was a little more sizeable. I honestly have no complaints.

What ever changes they make better be small.

I was walking down along the street and I heard this voice saying, "Good evening, Mr. Dowd." Well, I turned around and here was this big six-foot rabbit leaning up against a lamp-post. Well, I thought nothing of that because when you've lived in a town as long as I've lived in this one, you get used to the fact that everybody knows your name.

-Change the shape to be rounder so it doesn't jab your palms

-Increase it's size and give it extra weight

-Dump the round joysticks and make them concave

-Give it real triggers

-Instead of four buttons give it a real D-Pad like the Genesis (Best D-Pad ever)

-Removable battery with option to use standard AAs

-Move the LED lights to the front so you can see the connection easier

-Move the lift or both joysticks to the top of the controller so you don't have to stretch your thumbs to the center of the controller

-Color the buttons instead of just the symbols

-Dump the symbols for letters or numbers, something that makes sense in a sequence

-Add a small speaker for optional secondary sound effects

-Integrate Move support

- Add switch to turn off rubble feature to extend battery life

-Include 10 foot long USB recharge cable with PC support

Vita D Pad for sure its really nice.
Concave triggers
Make the sticks a little stiffer dont care if they leave them convex or not tho
Touch screen would be nice as long as its not too big or makes the pad awkard to hold
