Forums - Nintendo - Nintendo scores high marks in customer satisfaction

*This story is a few days old, so I apologize if it's already been posted. I searched through the thread list and found no mention of it.*

I guess this research firm Forrester conducts an annual survey during which it ranks consumer goods and services. One of the categories is "Consumer Electronics Manufacturers." Nintendo did the best in this category. It was closely trailed by Apple and Sony. The chart and rating system is below.

150 companies were included in the survey. 7,500 U.S. consumers were polled.

People do want to like Sony. Anecdotally, I know a lot of people who said they'd never buy anything but Sony (after their experience in the 90s), yet ended up with a Samsung TV and phone because they could see the quality was just as good (or that Sony quality had come down to the market average) but the price was much more reasonable.

And wow RIM has fallen a lot. Couldn't keep up with the demands of modern business.

If this were a Metacritic score, people would fly off the handle about how low it was!

Personally, I would put HP lower than Dell.

I used to buy one of those people. Sony's TV's are absolutely terrible - i understand why their tv business is doing so poorly.

Bet with ninjablade:

Ninjablade wins if the next 5 multiplat on the wii u are inferior to the 360 version.

I win if one of the 5 mulitplats are on par or superior on the Wii U.

Must be rigged. There's no way such low tech can be satisfactory to anyone.

Ongoing bet with think-man: He wins if MH4 releases in any shape or form on PSV in 2013, I win if it doesn't.

Connect? Do they mean Kinect?

My ratings for Sony and Nintendo would be higher (94~ish for Nintendo, 90~ish for Sony) and Apple would be way lower (62~ish). Apple products have good UIs, but are far too fragile. I love everything I own from Nintendo, no complaints. I have a Sony TV, Bluray/DVD player and Laptop and they're all fantastic. But if I was given the choice to buy them again I would have waited a couple more months so they weren't so expensive.

Nothing unusual. The guys with few products are in the lead, because it is easier to keep up productquality when theres not much new to care about.

Nintendo offers only a few products-all of them with last gen tech even when they are new.

They avoid the trouble "pioneers" have to face with new tech =no RROD,no YLOD etc.,simply analyzing the hardware mistakes the others have made and don't repeat them.
Also Nintendo customers aren't that critical as they have few core gamers(core gamers can be a pain in the as for the producer, always finding a reason to criticize, counting frames, pixels ,internet etc)
Casual gamers are mostly nice guys, pretty tolerant/don't waste their time with complaining.

Apple has the worst fanboys =good results.

The rest is pretty much on the same level:
there is not much difference from no.3(76%)to no 10.(71%)

I thought that too, but apparetly there is a Microsoft Connect. It's some kind of quality control site. But I'm not sure if it's meant to be that Connect, or it's just a typo.
