Sony has really good TVs, and many of them are very easy to use with the PS3, but I'm not sure if they have the kind you are looking for.

Been away for a bit, but sneaking back in.

Gaming on: PS4, PC, 3DS. Got a Switch! Mainly to play Smash

Samsung.

Everything else is either shit or overpriced :)

Sony is the best way to go. I have 2 in my home and they are superb for gaming. My bro has a Samsung LED SMART TV, and the image quality is not as good as with the Sony tvs.

Sony is better.  You pay more, but it is worth it.   If you put a Sony Tv and a Samsung TV side by side you will notice that the Sony tv has better image quality, and games will look better.

I was only joking, I've never watched TV or played video games on a Sony. It's good eh? It just seemed to me to be basically the same as Samsung but $50-100 more per TV.

Samsung, LG or Sony. Can't go wrong with these. Panasonic if you want plasma, but you don't seem to want that.

Shame people stay away from plasmas. when it comes to natural picture, blacks and color accuracy, plasma demolishes lcds at same price range.

Personally passive is way better than active for 3D. With active you get half the hertz and full resolution but with passive you get full hertz and full(ish) resolution. Sure each eye is only seeing 540*1920 but each eye is seeing its own 540*1920 image. What I mean by this is the brain still perceives the image as 1080*1920 for most situations. The opposite isn't true about active 3D. Each eye can't see a different temporal frame or else motion sickness would be unbearable. Sorry if this sounds confusing.

As for brand you can really go for any as long as the TV is good. My two main screens are Sony and LG but Samsung is great too.

I don't get why people argue over who has the best looking TV when the basic settings look like shit anyway.

You and your calibrations!

I must stop this great injustice against TVs!
