it would be better suited with sony, not only does sony have the experience making these types of games, sony gives their devs more freedom to create the types of games they want

Sony has more experience in Legend of Zelda-like games? I don't think so.

And if you meant the fighting system - I don't think the hack-n-slay part was that good in Darksiders I+II, nothing Nintendo couldn't do.

Apparently no one bought Vigil games and thus their current IP the excellent Darksiders is headed for limbo.  So the guys at Vigil put this up on their facebook page as an open invitation to some big publisher.  Hmmmm....I guess I am not the only one who thought the IP would make a great fit for Nintendo.  What do you guys think?

You mean two Zeldas at Nintendo? If that means we get Zelda every two instead of every four years, then I'm in.

(Yes, yes, the other Zelda has a different name and looks a bit darker. I'm fine with this.)

I know and I can't believe it's coming from Vigil games themselves.  Nintendo better not play hard to get as this is a chance to add another core title to their growing list of IP's.  Hey they bought the publishing rights to Bayonetta 2 and Fatal Frame; so anything could happen.

That's a double-edged sword, of course.

But I agree Sony would benefit more from it. Darksiders could be Sony's answer to The Legend of Zelda.

not really, considering two of the most hyped games this year are The last of us and beyond two souls and those are the two biggest example of when sony gave their devs the freedom to create the game they wanted.

Those are only two games among thousands. Sometimes the mark of a great producer is his ability to limit and focus the creative energy of his artist. Absolute creative freedom will not always produce something worth playing.

I'm pretty sure God of War: Ascension (Sony) and Grand Theft Auto: 5 (Rockstar) have bigger hype.

i said two of the most hyped, not the most hyped and i would say the last of us is more hyped than GoW

Hmmm yeah, Nintendo doesn't really need an adventure game as they already have Zelda which is way superior and more known.

Nintendo needs RPG, Monolith will cover this, Nintendo needs a Beat them all, Bayonetta will do this. I would say that Nintendo need more a shooting game now. And a good one, not stupid average games like The Conduit or Zombie U.

Nintendo should try to find a quality exlusive FPS or 3rd person shooter.

Yeah, it would be a decent buy for Nintendo. Release a Darksiders 3 on the WiiU and a sidegame for the 3DS. It probably wont push many units, but it could get a Metroid-size fanbase

sony has more experience in games aimed at adults, hack in slash games. and its not about if nintendo could do it or not its about who would handle it better, and that would be sony. the game would fit in their portfolio of games much better than nintendo's

Nah many of my friends don't even know about TLOU but are pumped up for GOWA. And anyways GOW is a well-established franchise and every main game in the series has sold over 4 million units.

Oh, yeah. Let Sony have it then. IF they handle it well (did they handle ANY game well in the last 2 years though?) it will only lead to Nintendo putting even more effort into the Legend of Zelda->positive
