Firstly, the Mayans never predicted any such thing. But the Bible predicted that God would make the Earth, and here we all are! Amazing!

There have been many Christians throughout time that guessed an end of the world date (a lot during the 20th century). They were wrong then and will be wrong in the future.  Also, the end of humans isn't the end of the world.  God would be the savoir of this world if he removed all humans from it.  Is Skynet God?

From an objective point a view without attacking religion. I've always found the signs of the apocalypse fascinating. Especially Christian and Islamic perspectives.
