Simple question, when you bought your DS/PSP/360/PS3/Wii, what games did you specifically buy the console to play?

What games did you learn about later, after owning the console for some time, made you glad you purcahsed the console?

For me:

DS - Bought for Advance Wars, Metroid Prime Hunters, and the likelyhood of a Fire Emblem Release
     - Glad I bought it for so many reasons. 5x Pokemon, 2x Fire Emblem, 4x Dragon Quest, and a pile of JRPG's.

PSP - Bought for Gran Turismo, Jeanne D'Ark, and Crisis Core: FFVII
       - Glad I bought it for every other major JRPG released. Especially Valkyria Chronicles 2 and Breat of Fire 3

360 - Bought for Gears of War, Forza and Lost Planet
       - Glad I bought it for Mass Effect, Lost Odyssey + other JRPG's, Too Human, Fallout, Vanquish, and Halo

PS3 - Bought for Gran Turismo 5
       - Glad I bought it for Valkyria Chronicles, Uncharted 2 & 3, InFamous 1 & 2, and Probably for The Last of Us and Tales of Xillia

Wii - Bought for Donkey Kong Country Returns, Mario Kart Wii, Metroid Prime 3, Smash Bros, Pikmin 3, and Fire Emblem
      - Glad I bought it for Project Rainfall Games, and Skyward Sword

3DS - Plan to Buy for Fire Emblem, Super Mario 3D Land, and Pokemon

WiiU - Plan to Buy for Project X, Fire Emblem x SMT, Smash Bros, Zelda, and Pikmin

PS3 because of how it turned out.

360 for GEARS although i never officialy owned the console.

Vita: while i don't own it. the main game i want for it is Gravity Daze, but i want Vita for what's to come. 

Wii for SSB's, although i never officialy owned the console

3ds: refure to comments on Vita with the reason being games not on Vita.

PS3 - I bought it for The Last Guardian more than anything. That, and the way the press went insane over Uncharted 2 at E3. While we never got The Last Guardian, discovering Valkyria Chronicles validated my purchase all by itself.

Wii: Super Mario Galaxy.
That game is God.

DS: New Super Mario Brothers Later games i love: Elite Beat Agents, M&L:Bowser's Inside story

PS3: Bought it to play games with friends COD:MW2 and MGS4. Later games: Too many but Uncharted series in short.

GBC-Bought for Pokemon. Only played Pokemon.

GB SP-Bought for Pokemon. Glad because of Pokemon, Fire Emblem, SMB3

GC-Bought for Tales of Symphonia, glad because of Wind Waker, Super Mario Sunshine, Fire Emblem, Metroid Prime.
The console that made me a Nintendo fan.

Wii-Bought for Wii Sports. (Come on who didn't at 1st)-Glad for more Zelda, Xenoblade, Okami, SSBB, Fire Emblem, more Metroid, Super Mario Galaxy. Started to fuel my interest in the art form of video games and the possibilities of this interactive media. Credited for the discovery of metacritic, other review sites (after all the shovelware I got, but hey I adapted)

DS-Bought for Nintendogs and Pokemon. Glad for everything. That handheld was a beast. I didn't have any games I didn't enjoy.

3DS-Impulse buy, I had cash and I wanted to spend it. Glad for KI:U, FE, SM3DL, Zelda, Upcoming Pokemon.
I didn't want a smartphone, glad I got this instead. The console that introduced me to VGChartz (long story).

WiiU-Project X and Ambassadors. I knew the Monolith game was coming. The trailer alone justified my purchase. Glad for WW remake, HD Zelda, Pikmin 3, and more to come.

What I want:
PS3 for the JRPGs, nothing else but there aren't enough of them for me.
A better PC to play Starcraft on Ultra. I have to save up for this for a longggggg time.

PS3: I have bought because I worked far from home and had a TV but no Antena so I bought it. Games like God of War 3, Metal Gear Solid 4, Uncharted 2+3 and the Blu-Ray player made me happy I did.

Wii: I bought because of Zelda, and well we all know how Skyword Sword turned out -.-. But Xenoblade and Twillight Princess compensated me at least a bit.

Xbox360: I don´t know. I just did it.

ps3- bought it for the blu ray player actually
Glad- Infamous, MGS4, uncharted, valkyria chronicles

Wii- Bought it initially for twilight princess, but ended up selling it... bought it again for SSBB and mario kart
Glad- Last Story, Xenoblade Chronicles, Punchout, and the virtual console

DS- Bought it for new super mario brothers

360: I got it a year or so after it was released primarily for Lost Odyssey.

PS3: Also got it after the first price drop, for Metal Gear Solid 4.

Wii: I got it for Super Mario Galaxy and Metroid Other M (yes, I really enjoyed Other M). I got mine during the year of Mario's 25th Anniversary, so it's all red and pretty. =P

As for handheld, I got the DS for the Final Fantasy remakes, pretty much the same for the PSP. Got mine with Final Fantasy Tactics War of the Lions.
