This has been known for a very long time and im pretty sure it is 9.2m shipped as that is how companies report figures.  They go off of shipped while vgchartz goes off sold from retailers.  Shipped means sold to developers

For example Halo 4 has sold 7.6m but it is likely it has shipped 8.5m. Do you see what Im saying?

Yeah I get it I just thought the number on Polyphony's website was sold not shipped

GT5 is hugely undertracked. it shipped 9.2 million in September. that was 4 months ago. and Vgchartz still says it hasnt come close to selling out that shipment.
it has probably shipped as of December a total of 9.4 million.
by the end of this year i predict at least 10.2 million shipped.
which means around at least 10 million sold.
that is of course if vgchartz ever corrects their numbers.

Anyway Jay, based off January sales so far, my calculations have Gran Turismo 5 at around 9.85mil for the end of the year. Numbers never lie.

Which is silly, given how far behind those numbers are.
