Oh ok then. Wait a second...you're 14 where DO you find the cash for these games?

Easter, Birthday, Christmas, and Parents.

I usually have 5 dollars laying around my room so that means I can Pre-Order a game. Then I pay like half of it off (with left over money from those Holidays/B-Day) and then my Dad suddenly feels like being supper nice and pays the rest off for me. That's what happened with both the Skyward Sword "Limited Edition", Kirby's Return To Dreamland, and SM3DL.

Whoah your dad is really nice. My parents made me pay for all my games. Saving up allowance, doing yardwork, snow shoveling and all.

Apparently it "builds character". All I got was a sore back and a gigantic sense of dissapointment when the game I bought sucked. (This is before I discovered metacritic.)

Wait for Sony's PS4 reveal, at least that way you'll know for sure if they make that PS3 dongle or not. It'll be a bit tough to get a job at a game store, you have to be old enough to sell M rated games. Supermarkets are easy starts, they always need people to push buggies. Clothing stores are good too.

I'm 18, so...

But yeah I might wait for E3.

I'm hoping to get a job this summer as well. Probably cleaning restrooms in Walmart, or something else nobody would normally see themselves doing. Heh. Unfortunately, most of the money I do make would probably be going towards trade school and a new PC + all the fun little things that go with it. Maybe a new desk, a mouse that actually works, etc.

For me it's basically...games, car insurance, gas? Yeah...

That age changes, here in Toronto you have to be 21, which is why you don't see anyone less than that working at Gamestop.

Yeah, my Dad is "really nice." ;P (He can be quite annoying, actually.)

I don't think I've ever been that dissapointed in a game that I bought/got. (Probably because most of them were Pokemon games... that's all I got when I was younger.)

Easter...lucky. When I was younger it was basically summer vacation game, birthday game, and maybe a Christmas game. That's it...

Then later I started getting more monet from Christmas stuff I sold and I got some money from VGC for writing articles and getting lots of views which I've stopped doing. Also getting more aggressive with demands lol. Then again for the past 3 years I bought mainly cheap PS2 games and a few DS and Wii games. Not a big demand, especially since I never buy at full price and Christmas money could last me for like half a year...

VGC gave you money when you were my age?! Lucky!

The only time my parents bought me a game randomly was when we were taking a long car trip. They bought my brother and I Kirby: Squeek Squad (or something like that...) It was a fun game!

I also realised that I barely got anything for Christmas when I was younger, lol. (They totally took advantage of my short attention span.) Now I get quite a good amount of money. (Not going to say how much because that would be kind of rude. Though all I ask for nowadays is money and giftcards.)

I see. I'll check, but Gamestop is just one option.

For sure, I didn't get my job at EB till later.  It was my 4th job I've gotten, had 5 jobs that year I did.

I remember EB.

EBGames was a really great place to get games, and the employees were really nice. GameStop took over, though. (I think in Canada you guys still have EB...)

We have like two Gamestops or something.  I think further north they actually had a Gamestop and EB in the same mall.  Not sure what it's like now.

Just got a PS3 not long ago, wanting a Wii U, and will probably be going for a PS4 once it out. Plus there's the plethora of games releasing in just the first half of this year and the promise of many more games in the second half too. This industry is eating up all my money!

All of you guys are unemployed ? i thought i was the only bum here.

I might sell a couple of consoles/games when the Ps4 comes out, i already got burned, bought a WiiU for $429, it still hurts.
