If they can be run in dual or tripple SLI i'll buy 2-3 of them.
Seems pointless for 1080p gaming, perhaps for multi monitor.

Yep, even a lot of cards thats already out is overkill for 1080P gaming unless you need to go into a higher res or run more then one monitor etc. |
Or you want to do some form of compute, which these cards would literally tear up, such systems you don't even need a monitor. ;)

I want 3, SLI 2 and use the third for dedicated PhysX lol

I'm charged 30c per kWh (9.1c for current, 10.6 for infrastructure, 10.3c taxes). No way I'm ever getting a card that probably draws 400W, not even one that draws over 150W..

Don't even bother. Getting any GPU faster than GTX650Ti/GTX560Ti for PhysX is a waste of $. Even in Borderlands 2 with extensive PhysX effects, adding a dedicated high-end GPU has minimal utilization for PhysX. You would be better off running all 3 for the game w/ PhysX instead of having a 3rd one dedicated for just PhysX ;)

So what are you gaming with now? Also, that means you couldn't have bought an Xbox 360/PS3 for years because they used 195-240W of power at launch until their slim versions came out.

Asus 6870, waiting for something similar in 28nm that uses less than 70W (I don't own a console, Amiga 500+ was the last non-PC).
(The 30c above do not include Renewal Energy tax which in my case translates to approx. 49c per kWh, so I'm at roughly 80c per kWh)
