720 6X WIIU
PS4 10X WIIU

These specs are real everybody, you can be in denial all you want but the ps4 will be by far the most powerful console nextgen.

Keep dreaming!!!

i read all your posts but i just can't see the 720 secret sauce making up ggdr5 in sony's manchine, not to mention the much better gpu.

Sounds like nothing more than a wishful thinking.

Deanos, I've already received word from special sources that the special sauces will not only make up the gap, but overshoot it like jizz launched from a wizard's penis.

So the 720 will be about 3.6TFlops and the PS4 will be about 6TFlops? Is that what you're saying? Just checking...

you do know not everything is based on gpu flops, CPU,  amount of ram and how fast the ram plays a huge role, wii u has a decent gpu but everything else is extremly weak.

The WiiU's GPGPU is actually quite powerful. It's only by comparison, is its CPU relatively weak. Given the clocks and RAM, it should still be able to process tasks in a timely manner, and given the right guru, we should see games of that nature within the next year.

WiiU only has 1gb of ram for gaming and its 2x slower then 360 ram, so it has the biggest problem holding back current gen, ram.

Not if it's dual channel, the estimate you're referring to assumes single channel, which is unlikely.

well that what i read at neogaf in wiiu techical descussion thread.

well if thats the case, i will wait and see till beyond 3d does an open box and gives us the details. Proelite reallyt shows a strong microsoft bias so i don't know.

QUOTE from neogaf

A person in the know I spoke with said the diagram is missing a cross-buffer between the North Bridge, Data Move Engine, and DDR3. This cross-buffer adds an extra vertex layer to the GPU, essentially doubling the throughput of the ESRAM. This innovative feature is a virtualization, so to speak, of trans-core communication.

honestly i just don't see how the 720 is gonna be close based on these specs, 1.2 flops and ddr3,  compared to sony it loos like they just really wanted to make a nice cheap system, this data moving engine must be some kind of break through black magic tech, still waiting if this bs or the real deal.

An entry level multi-core laptop CPU with a lowish spec but custom GPU and current Xbox 360 speed RAM.
But many hardware accelerators, lots of RAM, ESRAM for frame buffer storage and super fast bandwidth as well as 8 cores. Should be quite good in a fixed console design. Not the leap like 360/PS3 was over Xbox/PS2 but still interesting times ahead.

Looks like the Orbis will have the better GPU and faster RAM but less of it. Same CPU thought which is just boring.

good, bad, garbage, awesome?

It means the next Xbox runs on pure magic, ponies and whimsy.

Sounds expensive... what's the going market price for those items?

OK specs.

A good gaming PC today would blow it out of the water, but good none the less.

define a good gaming PC that would blow these specs out of the water and how much it would cost to put together

Eh, the amount and type of RAM are sufficient for the OS and there's little evidence right now that there are any games held back because of it. Besides, there were more issues this gen than RAM and mainly only for just one console (512MB was plenty in 2005/'06 and the 360's unified RAM worked wonders).

I have no doubt that the the next PlayStation and Xbox systems will be more powerful, but not to the extent that Nintendo should pack up their tents anytime soon.

the  biggest issue is ram, from what i read, then you have a very weak cpu, if the wii u is struggling with 360 ports, i don't see how wii u is gonna take ports that are pusing the new nextgen systems, you must not really understand the importance of ram.
