Fighting, and by extension, GETTING to, Radec in Killzone 2 on Elite mode is probably the most difficult thing I've ever accomplished in a video game. It took MONTHS to beat that boss on Elite.

When I get upset with a game or a portion of it, I just stop playing. If it's not mandatory I drop it completely. If it's mandatory, I come back to it later. I hate losing my temper, and I refuse to let a game get the best of me.
I was reading a trophy guide for Shadow of The Colossus on a different website and the thread was littered with users complaining about the colossi time attack trophy. Multiple posts talking about how they threw and broke their controllers. I never even attempted the time attacks before and told myself, "meh, it can't be that bad."
First colossi time attack, nailed it, second colossi, got it on time! Third colossi... OMFG I HATE THIS GAME! I got so frustrated I was shaking. I tried it like 30 times and just gave up on the platinum.
I never felt so defeated by a game.

Nothing to do with enemies and everything to do with the rotating blades that made Kratos fall if they came within two feet of him.
I am almost completing the level, yes! After all this time the level is cleared... Oh wait an archer, no problem, i'll survive... Critical! Nooo!

**** you Micaiah!
Edit: And Super mario Galaxy 2 242nd star, I never cleared that thing, one time I was almost finished, killed all the turtles on the last part, but was killed by a boomerang... of a dead turtle, the damn boomerang hit mario on the back, WHY!? WHY!? Never played that game again since that, and it's already 2 years that my save has 241 stars, really sad.

A few hours later I booted up the game again and leveled up a few of my weapons (from the base level to level 2, higher levels are only attainable on new game+), went to the final boss again and beat it with the ammo of one single weapon. That pissed me off even more, because it meant that it hadn't been so much a matter of skill, but rather putting in the time to upgrade the weapons. Not a rage quit, but I also have a Fire Emblem: Radiant Dawn story to share. On hard mode on chapter 2-F Nephenee got killed on turn 14 by a critical hit of a crossbow. What made this all the more frustrating was that she was standing above the stairs on the left side and got hit from below, meaning the chance that she got hit at all was low to begin with. Nephenee really sucks in this game, she's my #1 choice to bench on chapter 3-5 where you can only use 16 of a possible 17 units. |
Nephenee doesn't suck! she's great, one of my favorite characters, yours must be RNG screwed, mine was incredibly useful in the sephiram level!
The labyrinth towards the end of god of war 3. Could never beat that on Titan mode. I must have tried over 100 times and never came close to doing it. Lost 2 controllers in the process. Still to this day haven't done god of war 3 on Titan mode and it still pisses me off.

The most recent has been Hitman: Absolution. I've rage-quitted from that game several times, actually, because I can never figure out how you are actually supposed to play it, since it's nothing whatsoever like Blood Money. And then people advise me on how I'm meant to be playing it, and that fails even worse, so I give up.
