lol i only owned a 360 this gen, but if this is true, i'm going with the best hardware money can buy.

We have confirmation from Ubisoft and multiple developers the two consoles are almost exactly the same in power with both having slight advantages in different areas

nah man they are several conflicting rumors about this floating around. The BEST you can trust on is imho a guy with the tag mr accurate over at gaf. Nsanity posted his quote yesterday too. We are basically going to get two consoles similar in overall ppower but strengths in different areas :) I doubt either MS or Sony fans would be disappointed at the end of the day


yea i read that already but he also stated that eurogamer was very close to the actual specs, baring some minor details.

To be perfectly honest, I don't really care which is more powerful.

Multi-platform games are going to be made for the lowest common denominator, anyway. Sure, one might have a few first-party exclusives "that you can't play on the other consoles" but who really cares? Naughty Dog games are going to look great regardless. 343i games are going to look great regardless. And PC, of course, will trump them both.

Maybe it's just me, because there are many other elements about games that interest me far more than "graphix", but I don't think it will make much real-world difference.

Moreover, "my console is more powerful than your console" fights have always seemed hellaciously childish.

its just hard to believe really, they can be close but one has to be more powerful, it seems ubi just doesnt wanna choose sides.
