Actually, I take that back--that honour could go either to Galaxy or Smash Bros.

I love this game. This is my favorite game this year. Even though it was kinda easy. It deserves all the sales it gets.

In my opinion, Mario galaxy will sell aroun 12 millions, and deserve to be considered one of the best game of VG history.

Of course, the name is Mario for one and second it will eventually surpass Halo 3.

Gears of War didn't count considering it was a new IP at the time.
