Yep totally agree if the specs are close and nintendo gets more third party its game over for the other guys. Dont get me wrong i hope they all can suceed in some way but nintendo has the edge in games and franchises. If the other guys cant solidly beat them in harware and third party they will be in trouble.
If all 3 consoles had the same power they would all be doomed, devs would jump ship and by 2019 the global hardware charts would be

It has actually been proven multiple times their exclusives can carry a console to profits. See gamecube. I have actually seen halo outsell several nintendo exclusives I think but from a system seller perspective nintendo still do fine. It would definitely be in sony's best interest to reset their tactics and write cheques again. Gran turismo takes too long to make and that is their only real system seller. Sony do need to start acting and not waiting for things to come to them. Third parties can no longer carry their systems for them.
But its nice to see spurg more reasonable here. Even if he does hate wii u. But it really is too early to say. Especially when we don't know anything about the new systems other then rumors. Definitely blocking used games would be a disaster for sony.

Why waste money for a new console that is only slightly better than my ps360.Slightly better Antialiasing and textures are no reason to spent 800bucks for 2 new systems.Especially not if you already own the Wii U and the ps360=you already own 3 system with similar power.No need for another 2.As long as there is no reason people won't buy a new system(and there is nothing new about being as powerfull as wii u.)
For Wii gamers the wii u is technically a big jump in graphics.they have a reason to buy Wii u because of HD and internet=Wii u would sell better than ps460 with similar power.

I think Uncharted can be considered a system seller for Sony at this point. Still, they don't have any franshises quite like Halo or Mario. I think they were trying to make Sackboy into their own personal cashcow with spinoff series like LBP:Karting, but that didn't turn out so well. They do currently have a bit more variety than Ninty and M$, though.
Oh, and Halo 3 outsold Mario Galaxy and Halo Reach outsold DKC Returns. I'm pretty sure Nintendo has put out more million sellers this gen than Microsoft, though. :) That said, next gen is still up in the air. With the increased cost of HD development, Ninty probably won't be able to push out as many titles as they did last gen, so they'll most likely be forced to rely on third parties a bit more, and M$ is sure to release a few fresh IPs of their own.

I'm not convinced uncharted is a system seller. You just have to look at vita to see that. I could be wrong but it didn't make the mainstream rush out to buy it. Maybe its because vita is a handheld *shrug*.
I think nintendo will be able to. Because they have third parties they are just stretching their games out and their games make profits enough. They probably have as many games in development as they did with wii at the moment but just won't show them off because they don't feel its time. My question is how long will it take to localize monolith's game? Whatever it may be (some new ip).

ps4 will best the wiiu easily, dunno abot the xbox though
