I went for the second option straight away to mark my optimistic approach. Sony should continue to support in every way they could. It should continue to benefit from first part and 3rd party equally.

Its the best handheld gaming device I've ever owned and at one point in time I have owned a Nintendo gameboy which was awesome!, a Sega Gamegear which sucked batteries like no ones business, an Atari Lynx which was even more battery hungry than a gamegear, a Nintendo Gameboy advance which rocked, a Nintendo DS, a Sony PSP, a Nintendo 3Ds and various tables and shit.

This is all personal preference of course, but I'm exactly one of the people specifically targeted by the PSP and now the PS Vita. And by that, I mean gamers who wished that they can take their homeconsole gaming experience with them where ever they go, and it has been great!.

I mean they didn't hurt your eyes as much.

I see a high percentage of sony fans love the money losing vita machine!.. GG sony!

Ok. Now I see the problem. Your idea of what success means is fucked up. The PSP is a major success. 1st place isn't a must to be successful. Unless you think the 360 and PS3 are definitly failures and that there's no arguing that. 75Million units is nothing to laugh at. It doesn't matter what the competition did, what matters is what the product did for the company. The PSP sold great for the support that it got, brought in profit and established SONY as a major contender in a new market for them.

Sounds like you're the one that needs to accept that. Your idea of success seems to mean 1st place and 100M units. Gilgamesh is the only one expecting this of the Vita.

While I think he's bein overly harsh on the 3DS. I do have both systems. However I have to say, I've hardly touched my 3DS since the Vita came out. Luigi's Mansion will change that in March though :D

A lot of what he said was correct thought. Vastly superiod hardware inside it (though it doesn't have to use a huge chunk powering stereoscopic). It has dual analogue as standard in the normal form factor, it has a very good online service (PSN is superior to the E-Shop and also has the home console integration so some titles can be bought on Vita, then downloaded on PS3 as well etc.) Cross format play with some titles against PS3 gamers. It also for me has the better line up. I never thought I'd be able to experience a full blown title such as Need for Speed Most Wanted on the go with so little compromise.

Nintendo are Nintendo though and despite what all the haters say, Nintendo will remain relevant regardless of what Sony/MS/Apple do in all gaming spaces so long as they remain completely untouchable in the quality of the software they make which is only for their systems. (This applies to Wii U as well as 3DS).

So its making profits for sony?.. hmm so the vita is a success then! .. hooraay! .. i think.

.. then whats all this talk about it being discontinued..
