The difference is still neglible both in performance and image quality. (Except in the case of Skyrim, that game was just buggy as all hell regardless of platform, improved with patches.)
If you really wan't a "night and day" difference with cross platform gaming, then grab a PC. You will be amazed at how you played games at a paltry 720P with 30fps on the PS3 or Xbox 360.
It's like you discovered fluid motion and sharp image quality for the first time.... That my friend, is "way better".

I think the worst thing Sony could do next generation is launch late and expensive with difficult to program for hardware, otherwise the Xbox will become the lead multi-platform console again.

actually DMC, blops 2 and mass effect 3 are not neglible at all, were talking about much better versions in performance and graphics and i'm the kinda gamer that only has time and money for one console, i don't even own a desktop.

PS3 has awful CPU? LOL! The latest multiplatform games on PS3 are equal to the 360 versions, has been like that for some years now. We're not living in 2007 anymore where mp games were significantly worse on ps3, however that was 5 years ago. Outside a few games(from the same devs), mp games on ps3 are nearly identical, often surpassing the 360 versions.

You make it sound like my ps3 versions of BF3, Borderlands 2, Arkham City and NFS Most Wanted are broken.

DMC much better? I just saw the face-off at EG, it didn't sound like there was any significant gap between the 2, its a UE3 game.

yea those are some huge games though and DMC scored lower on ign cause of being an inferior version, still you said often times better which is not the case, ps3 games finially caught up about 3-4 years after it was launched

Well, I hope you're right, but I don't see that being the case if third party development for PS4 is like Wii's was last gen and 720's is exclusively like 360 and PS3.

yup that's what i have been hearing, regardless. both are gonna be at least 8x better then currentgen, very disappointed in microsoft, looks like there going for making the best media box instead of console, if ps4 is more bpowerful, i'm going ps4 all the way, hoping they make a new controller design.

Sony needs 2 sizes of controller.  That has been the biggest gripe I've heard of with the dualshock over the years and I have to say it is just a little to small for even me to hold the way I want now that my hands are fully grown.  I don't really like to buy 3rd party as Sony all the ones I've played with feel very cheap in comparison to Sony's so I wish they would make a controller 10% larger with a Vita like Dpad and triggers.

they need to just change the controller and make it more like 360, we know now the us is xbox land, when i talk to gamers whic system are you getting nextgen they tell me the nextxbox, i tell them what about ps4, most of them come the same reply, they say they hate the ps3 controller and honestly after playing with the 360 controller and going back to the ps3, it really does feel like crap.

I wouldn't mind them making the shape and triggers more like 360 but damn do I hate those uneven analog sticks!  It's the most retarded design choice I've ever seen.  My hands are the same so my thumbs will go to the same place on either side.  I don't think Sony will change their controller too drastically and honestly I think size and perhaps the handles are the biggest problem.  Like I said the Dpad could be more like Vita's and the triggers could be like 360 but other than those little improvements it can stay.  I'm not so sure the grip is as solid as some would believe in America.  People tend to forget that US went from Nintendoland to Sonyland to Microsoft land.  Many of these guys grew up with PSone and 2 and will switch back if the console is the same price or maybe $50 and launches the same time or earlier.  Also they need to advertise stuff like Uncharted, Killzone, Beyond, and GoW to show those American gamers the awesomeness of PS exclusives because I see more Halo 4 adds than all those games combined this gen.

thats fine and everthing but you do miss out on the best versions, i had a harcore sony fan just buy a 360 for the COD series, he told how crappy the graphics were when compared to the 360, many big games are just way better on 360, the differnce in red dead redemption is not and day, ps3 just started catching up 3-4 years ago i would say thats pretty damn long time and still most of the big releases have a clear advantage on 360.

Hold on, the last cod I played on PS3 was MW2 and it was AWESOME on PS3. What are you talking about? How does CoD have better online play on 360? Do you think CoD is lagging on PSN? lol

The difference in graphics and performance are insignificant, even more so in IW CoDs.

Hold on, the last cod I played on PS3 was MW2 and it was AWESOME on PS3. What are you talking about? How does CoD have better online play on 360? Do you think CoD is lagging on PSN? lol

look at the digital foundry call of duty black ops 1 comparison, its a disaster on ps3, there is as much as a 20fps differnce sometimes, its basically crap on ps3.
