You can't feel anything as its simply the natural order of things.
Cadet did the right thing in trying to let it live, but it simply wasn't meant to be and the hawk had to eat.
It might be fake. The hawk grabbing the kid in the park turned out to be fake aswel, 2nd why would you film this.
Mouse got owned, food for the hawk.

It's a likely scenario. The cadet's didn't immediately kill the mouse like many would and probably got made fun of in jest. He friend probably recorded the it because everyone thought the cadet was being a pussy for letting it go.
As for the hawk grabbing the mouse, it looks real to me. The hawk/kid video looked fake.
Hawk FTW, I don't see anything wrong this. What the hawk caught his meal for the day.
