Question: I remember something about the speakers in the XL being poor, is this still true?

The Vita apparently has better sound quality. Not sure bout 3ds vs 3ds XL speakers.

I have a regular 3ds and an xl right next to me, and it's basically the same, infact the xl sounds slightly better

My opinion ofcourse :)

Puzzles: Pushmo and Crashmo on eshop, picross and picross 3D (DS games)

Crashmo is sequel to Pushmo but the mechanics are similar and completely different. Most people find pushmo easier but I found Crashmo easier.

Super Mario 3D Land is a must. I would also recommend Pilotwings Resort, if you can get it cheap enough. It's not great by any means, but it's fun and it's a good way to get used to the 3D slider and the button layout.

Congratulations!

Mario Kart 7, The Denpa Men: They Came by Wave , Zen Pinball 3D, Super Mario 3D Land, New Super Mario Bros. 2, Pushmo, Crashmo, Pilotwings Resort (cheap on Amazon), Sakura Samurai: Art of the Sword, Kid Icarus: Uprising, Mutant Mudds, Resident Evil: Revelations

Waiting for Luigi's Mansion, Animal Crossing, and Fire Emblem
