Which was Sony fans logic when Wii was beating Ps3. Wii vs. PS2 was everywhere lol. Now fans do Wii vs. PS4 and look at the lack of support from Sony fans.


what really matters is that PS4 is leading the way now this gen 8 with 7.2m sales,enjoy it

Pretty sure 3DS 40 million is higher than PS4s 7 million, enjoy it.

people only get annoyed that PS4 is leading the Wiiu & One in sales i find,you must have read some threads about it i'm sure,shame the WiiU couldn't follow up the Wii's succes but that is teh console warz for you,try respecting the PS4 it deserves it for leading this gen

Ohhhh I see the mistake.

VGC have Wii at 5,838,056 in the end of March... Nintendo shipped 5.84m... that the VGC numbers impossible because even with massive supply issues the shipment made in last week of March couldn't be sold in the same week by retail..

No... I don't believe PS4 will be ahead this holiday for example but it sold more than Wii in the first three months of the year... sad we don't have April sales yet but I guess Sony will release it when they reach 8 million in mid May.

BTW how do you know the monthly sales?

From VGC I can see 1050k + 900k + 930k that give us 2880k... Nintendo shipped only 2650k Wiis in first quarter of 2007.

So there's no need to continue this then. Wii was actually sold out, not partly like PS4. PS4s are easily available now, Wii wasn't until like its 2nd year. Superchunk has a thread comparing them, that's where the figures are. PS4 is only winning now thanks to supply. It has no chance in hell at keeping up. Its already struggling and the summer has yet to come.

Well, you also have to consider the 3DS has been out for over 3 years, while the PS4 hasn't even been out for 6 full months.  In Nov of '16, then we can compare the 3DS's 43M it had in Feb.

Sounds like Sonys problem. He asked for the 8th Gen leader and I gave it to him.

Lol, it is funny how some Nintendo fans kept comparing DS to the PS2 cause they thought it could beat it, but fell ~10M short.  Personally, I don't mind comparing them.  Of course, you can't just compare them apples to apples.  Handhelds are cheaper than home consoles when they launch, so price isn't as big of an issue.  And you DEFINITELY can't compare the sales of one that launched 3 years before the other console you're comparing it to.
