Probably. I rarely check HOME, but when I do its always full of people.
Plus Sony says it profitable which I don't doubt since Sony still add lots content regularly.

No it will be rightly canned.

Huh why would they can a service that brings in money?

To avoid bad reviews of the new machine. Home is a terrible idea, badly executed.

So you're thinking it'll be canned just to avoid bad reviews? It didn't matter on PS3, it brings in money and thats what matters to a business. Home is a great idea and ps4 will be the perfect platform to relaunch it.

source that it brings in money?

Because 2nd life was bigger than Home is and it did not. That is why I am asking.

"The general message I've heard from Sony employees is "hey, you don't use Home, but it makes money," and as my story from yesterday pointed out, it's not only an easy money maker for the company; there are legions of users deeply passionate about Home."

That is 20 months old.

I doubt it saw any kind of growth. I neither hear inet crowd talking about it anymore nor have I ever heard anyone in the real life talking about it.

Imagine not having GamePass on your console...

Doesn't matter, I also have sources from 2010 saying it is profitable. And neither was anyone talking about Home last year, or the year before, and people like you kept on saying "who uses Home" for years. It is making money, and you don't need confirmation every month to hear it is profitable, its a system built on microtransactions, they tend to be profitable.

Around the Network

I like checking in on Home every month or so. It's fun to run around there and check out all the new games and areas they have on there.

And Turkish, you get lots of lag on Home? It's pretty damn smooth for me. Once you download the data for each area, load times aren't too bad. I do agree it should be set up more like an open world, where they could have smaller paths that you run down to get to different areas to hide load times.

On a personal note, I hate how the plaza used to be a hub outside the various buildings and now its more like the bottom floor to the mall.

with the rumor power of PS4, i'd assume so.

If they can get around the needing to download so much data - i.e the player having to wait to go to a new location. But the whole PS3 XMB isn't really helpful for thinking/making me want to go on home. I think if people knew about it and what was new they might go and try it (talking about the general user who isn't on gaming sites and knows about it).

Do i think they will drop it because it would give "poor reviews of the PS4".... lol no. They would drop it if it doesn't make sufficient money for them. Home isn't terrible, just needs some next gen love, in terms of "Streaming" of areas etc. I see the PS3 version as a "technology/code" test by sony. I dont see them bringing it to PS4 without some upgrades (if at all).

until now still many people doesn't know HOME is for PS3 social gamers... that's why they feel it is sux and meaningless to have HOME...
i will feel facebook is more sux and meaningless too if i didn't know facebook is for social connecting...

i support you Turkish...

HOME really need to perform smoother experience in order to let users who like it to enjoy it more... ^^

honestly i just use home to mess with people but from what i'm seeing there's more expansion going on than ever before with regards to the spaces and the actual content released for purchase

i'd assume that this increase in content is directly related to how readily the home users i see gobble this stuff up

as whenever i'm on i'm always seeing people walking around with the newest stuff released and hearing people talking about putting money on to purchase stuff

i wouldn't expect the xbox guys in here who either don't own ps3s or hardly use them to be aware of that
