He said he bought multiple systems and then said he wont for the ps3 because he hates it. Said it earlier in the thread. I don't know why he said it and hopefully it isn't a blind hatred towards the system and he has a legit reason for it. However, I'm wondering how you can keep buying multiple consoles that break down on you.

His other 360's all work fine, it's only the Halo 4 one that has the problem. He lent one out and the other were in their boxes. He has to use one while his Halo 4 one is being repaired.
OT: I'm surprised that your slim had a problem. I've had good luck with mine. I bought a Halo Reach slim at launch. Later I sold it to my friend when he wanted to upgrade from his older model 360 plus I wanted the Gears 3 360. Both are working fine.
Later I bought another Gears 3 360 for my girlfriend as an upgrade from the MW2 older 360. I got that one at a nice discount plus she wanted wifi (not on older models), it also had a new warranty and I sold the MW2 model. She's had no problems with that since I bought it last year.
I've only had problems with the older model 360's.

I was very surprise myself. Again the reason I haven't blow a casket yet is because the M$ rep who I talk to was really helpful and nice. He assure me that I will receive back the same console I sent in because in the past they just replace the console you sent in. I was really upset this morning but now I'm feeling a lot better since I printed the shipping label, packed up my 360 and dropped it off at FedEx. Last time I had any 360 issues was 4 years ago and it was the older model.
BTW the Gears of War console and controllers is my favorite. I love the red and black.

That sucks, but there getting fixed for free so thats a plus, I didnt think the slims RROD'd??
How did your 360 Slim break? I thought they didn't have any problems anymore??
I'm not sure how to resond to a company that is willing to fix it for free BUT it sure does concrete my thoughts that the xbox360 lifetime figures are mainly bought by people with multiple machines in the same household. Out of the 70 million they have sold, really how many were RROD or breakdowns or even one fanboy with 3 or 4 systems in his bedroom? It's a little pathetic really
