Just thought I'd throw out a prediction.  We know Microsoft has just hired the co-creator of the Slingbox.  Now if you don't know what a slingbox is, it basically allows you to stream your TV to your computer from anywhere.  So what I think Microsoft is trying to do is to allow you to stream your NeXbox anywhere from a windows 8 device.  I don't know how it would work yet, but we do know they are trying to make windows 8 an ecosystem across all platforms so this would fit with the strategy.  Just think, you could  play your Xbox games on your notebook on business trips or vactation!  Just take a controller with you and plug it in :)  Thoughts anybody?

The specs would have to be compatible so you may need to "sync" them before hand. It is a interesting idea though.

while that sounds good if it only works for windows 8 i won't care much. i want that functionality, just not the restriction. i'm an apple household, so are my in-laws, my work computer is windows 7.

I'd want more of what i assume (hope) sony will do with gaikai ... simply be web based.

That could sell a Nextbox for me. Sounds sweet. But only if BC is included.

Nah not really.  The hardware could be released in 2013 without software like this being on it.  The software could be added later if they want and plus if he already knows how to create this type of thing it shouldnt take him too long to create it for the NeXbox.  A lot of development time is just from trying to figure out how to make it work but if he already knows how to then that will cut some time off.

It would be really cool. I kinda doubt it but its could possible. And would definitely be a plus for some... But then again whats the point? Outside of a few exclusives most of the games on consoles we can get on PC with much better graphics and generally much cheaper (thanks to steam).

So it makes me wonder... Whats the point?
