It's Survival Instinct, not the Telltale game...

The Walking Dead: Survival Instinct is coming to Wii U, it has been revealed.

The first person stealth-action game will be the same as the Xbox 360, PS3 and PC versions, but will make use of the GamePad's touch screen to manage inventory.

"We were over halfway through the project when the Wii U thing started coming about," producer Glenn Gamble told Digital Spy.

"We didn't want to change the game, because the game had already been established, so we tried to say, 'What can we augment with the Wii U version?'

"That's where it's basically a more elegant inventory management system. With the Wii U you have access to your backpack at all times, so you can tap what weapons you want, you can drop stuff. It's a lot more streamlined."

The title was also given a release date of March 22 in Europe.

Gamble also commented on a recently released trailer of the game, saying it was fan-made and used old footage.

The Walking Dead: Survival Instinct is a survival stealth-action game with light management elements, following brothers Daryl and Merle before the events of the AMC television series.

To bad the game looks like garbage.

Maybe it makes people appreciate ZombiU more ;P

Why is this even made, it looks and sounds bad. I hope WiiU owners get TellTales Walking Dead, or atleast Season 2.

Too little Too late.

I'd like the Telltale game on Vita or 3DS. I'm not even gonna touch this game.

What a terrible looking game. I was all excited as well...

Not all that interested in the game...

But I am interested in its announcement for the Wii U. Why? Because if this game is being released in March on the Wii U alongside the other platforms, what other games are currently unannounced for the Wii U, but will be simultaneously released on the system?

You know that picture that pops up every couple of weeks, showing 2013 games announced, and their status as multiplatform (and which platforms are included in that) or exclusives (and which platform it's exclusive to)? Well, this is one game that had a big red X against Wii U, but now earns a green tick.

If you want to answer this question just ask yourself... which of those game belong to publishers that are really supporting the console and you may get a good guess. If it is from Ubisoft, Warner or Activision there is a very high chance that will also come to Wii U. All the other ones are only playing with the development kits and maybe for the second half of 2013 will start releasing games (if at all).

I want that red X back. Seriously. The developer said that the Trailer was fanmade and an old built, but I somehow doubt that the final game will look significantly different.
