Nah. I'm biased as fuck. I grew up with Nintendo so, even when they do wrong, I love them more than anybody else. I've always hated Sony but they're the only company from whom I've bought every console they've ever made. My first Microsoft console is the Xbox 360 and I love the hell out of it--maybe even more than any console I've ever owned in my life.

Basically, I'm gonna buy Sony games and consoles but talk a lot of shit about them.
I'm going to love Nintendo even if the Wii U gives me cancer.
The Xbox 360 can do no wrong in my eyes.

Having a preference doesn't necessarily means you are bias. Heck even though I was a Nintendo fan in grade/middle school during the Sega vs Nintendo days I usually supported both. I thought the rivalry was a little childish. I played and enjoyed Sonic, Lunar and Shinning even though I loved Nintendo. Ever since I have been able to work and buy my own systems I usually buy each of the major players eventually because its the games that are important not the systems.

I certainly am not.

I picked the PS3 because I liked its exclusive games and features the most. I didn't flip a coin or draw the Playstation logo out of a hat. I was a PC/MMO gamer at the start of this generation; when I decided to move away from MMOs, I asked around and researched the three console choices before going with the one I found to be the most personally appealing.

Previously, my best friend and I stuck with MMOs because they offered the best way to play together. When he passed away in 2008, my heart completely went out of social gaming. I struggled on with it for awhile but it just wasn't the same. Having paid zero attention to this generation before that, though, I feel like I was objective, relative to my own preferences, in my evaluations when I decided to make the plunge.

With that, I have nothing against Nintendo or Microsoft. I still have my NES and SNES, and it's almost impossible to be a PC gamer without Windows. So, while I'll defend Playstation if I disagree with a detractor, I'm certainly not one of those who attacks the consoles I don't have. Honestly, if it was in my budget, I'd almost certainly buy a Wii U, and probably a 360 for Halo.

I do admit to having some hard feelings against the Nintendo fanbase, though, that I've had to struggle to overcome. Before I bought a console this gen, when I was still weighing the pros and cons of each, I pretty much got ambushed by Nintendo fanboys and it left a bad taste in my mouth. On random forums that were apparently much less mature than here, I would ask for opinions and recommendations; with the Wii, I unwittingly ran into a hyper-defensive buzz-saw. When I said that I didn't care that much for Mario or platformers in general, things turned bitter. I got a lot of personal insults over that, which bothered me for awhile.

Still, I do my best to be objective toward Nintendo and Microsoft and the consoles themselves. Because I like Playstation doesn't mean I have to hate, or even dislike, anything else.

No, I prefer them for different reasons. When I see a console coming out I know I have to get it because if I dont then Ill miss some good games. I dont really understand the logic of following a company blindly. Not going to go into depth with this comment this time, but thanks for sending this to me Pezus.

Then more than likly you are not bias. Because bais basically goes hand in hand with being prejudice, or in internet terms a raging fanboy. Having a preference isn't being bais. Saying your choice(preference) is the best and anything else is garage, only because you bought it and want to prove its worth, is bias.

Nobody is unbiased, although some hide it better than others.

I think I could have been pretty close to unbiased, though. During the PS1 and PS2 days, I LOVED Sony. To a degree, I still do. I'm going to be accused of generalizing but it is what it is: During the older gens, PS1 players didn't seem to always attack N64 owners or relish in Nintendo's bad news. PS2 owners didn't seem to always attack Gamecube/Xbox owners. Because of the internet? No. Remember, I survived the 16-Bit wars where EVERYBODY attacked everybody else.

I had an N64 and a PS1 back in the late 90's. (n 1997, I sold the N64, despite my love for Nintendo because I needed money. Sony was obviously the better choice (for me) at the time. I loved my Gamecube but I supported and played the PS2 faaaaar more. Even when it came to multiplats, I went with the PS2 90% of the time. Hell, I even love my Vita (bought it on day one!) and I still think the PSP was the greatest portable of its day (still own two of them and they get played at least weekly).

So, why does the PS3 get so much flack from me, now? I know that everybody does it but goddam. This gen, I've come across so much pro-PS3 propaganda. So much over-hyping about how "This PS3 exclusive makes this Xbox 360 game look last gen!" or "This console is such garbage compared to the PS3" that it has actually made me seek out the flaws of what is really a pretty impressive console. Were it not for a vocal minority that haven't tried the competition, ALWAYS attacking everybody else or pretending that every release was the second coming of Jesus Christ, I'd probably love my PS3 a lot more than I do. It's crazy that I paid $500+ for a console, support in, use it daily, and I almost take pleasure when I see bad Sony news.

Being unbiased must lead to one boring ass existence.

No, it's pretty fun because then you get to post everywhere. Just try it!

How would you know, Mr. Biased?

Read the OP again. It's all explained there!

After reading the OP I got extremely bored.  I guess I was right?

I think beeing biased is something that you cant completely control. We all have our own preferences when choosing wich system and games to buy and why.

What you can control is wether you're racional or not.

Im biased against threads asking if im unbiased...
