Watching the comparison on my Wii U controller, I can't really see the difference between the Wii and the Wii U version. It's been a long time since I've played the Wii version, though.

I guess there's pretty much nothing the new one does that the older one couldn't do. Just higher res.

The colours are looking better on the U version.
And the effects are better, for example when Mario throws a fireball.
But yeah I think it´s because of the resolution so nothing special.

I don't remember the wii version looking that good :/

Mario Bros U is better.

That's a horrible comparison. I don't know what's up with their Wii U video but it looks far worse on my tv than the actual game.
