So it seems I was wrong about Pokémon. It's actually coming this year. Why am I wrong all the time lately 
?
Anyway, this obviously effects my prediction for 3DS, so I'd like to update it now. Add 2 million on top of my previous prediction, making it 17.1m. Pokémon's dominance in the end of the year will negatively affect the Vita too, so I'll adjust that down 200k, to 4.8m:

Not really, though the WiiU games will put them nicely in profit this year. I see 2014 being their big year though, this one will just be very very good

I think so too. Plus, it's only January. Nintendo is innovative, yes, but "frugal" as hell. 3DS has everything it needs for a banner year, I really don't see Nintendo fighting (trying) too hard on that front. Wii U, it seems and I'm hoping that 3rd party port barrage has stopped. I rather not see any more ports from HD Twins and see Nintendo focus on delivering one or two of their own IPs that fully distinguishes Wii U's place this gen. Zombi U type 3rd party, awesome. I'm hoping a successful and lucrative 3DS year will convince the drybones at Nintendo to unleash a little more R&D dollars on a game that will have universal appeal.

I personally know four people who were waiting for the 3DS pokemon games before purchasing one, and now that it is actually a complete overhaul I can imagine many more picking one up to see the reboot.
