Forums - Sales - Global Up 22nd Dec. YOY: HW DOWN 1m & SW DOWN 15m!!

Once again, you Nintendo haters need to really hide your true colors better.

3DS still beasting, as expected, and Wii U will pick up in sales. Man, the Vita should do much better than that. The gap between X360 and PS3 is great for Sony, but doubt they care, given the crisis they are in. Overall, worse than last year, but the fact that handheld gaming is still kicking is great news for the video game industry. Surprised the DS is still selling great, but there were plenty of sales for it and the 3DS at my local Target.

Estelle and Adol... best characters ever! XD

As to be expected, Sony dominating europe, microsoft dominating america, Nintendo dominating japan..

Funny how things are that way.

People say Vita is dead and doomed. However it manages to outsell Wii U in Europe. Then how doomed and dead is Wii U?

3DS very good.
PS360 and DS good considering their age. It was expected they would be down from last year.
Wii mediocre.
PSP bad.
Vita very bad.

WiiU is okay. It's doing a lot better than PS360's launch, but less than Wii. Which is expected anyway. Europe numbers are disappointing, but unless it's a Sony console (even then it's only good the first one or two weeks), Europe's adoption rate for new consoles is always slow. 3DS was no different, and now it's selling similarly to US and JP (outside the holidays anyway, JP this week is sick).

ADJUSTMENTS IN THE LAST WEEKS

CONSOLE ADJUSTMENT
3DS 15954
PS3 0
360 0
Wii 0
DS 13928
PSP 0
PSV 0
Wii U 0

might have to do something with PS3 and PS Vita releasing in march/february and not in nov/dec

I think WiiU is doing ok, i dont know what all the fuzz is about

Great Week for DS and 3DS including software and hardware.

Microsoft is in beast mode in North America wow! Price cut was an excellent decision on their end.

Wii U is doing okay. The Wii was the cheaper alternative compared to the HD twins when released. Now, the Wii U is the opposite until next-gen arrives. Like Pachter said (for once he is right), Nintendo didn't do much promotion during the Christmas holidays for the Wii U as they knew that they would sell their available allotment. If Nintendo starts marketing the Wii U right post-holiday season, they will surely have another hit on their hands.

I have to admit I'm really pleased and surprised with PS3 performance. I think most of our regular 360 supporters didn't expect such an outcome. The lead of PS3 was supposed to vanish during holiday period.

You really shouldn't make such statements when you really don't have anything to base them on. Wii U sales MIGHT pick up, they might not.
