What? For real??
I'm on Twitter @DanneSandin!
Furthermore, I think VGChartz should add a "Like"-button.

Actually, WiiU is outselling Wii. Just shows you how far Nintendo consoles have fallen the last few years when their new console and their old #1 can't combine to sell as much as either PS3 or 360. |
THIS.
I think the Wii U should have released last year at the latest where it still had the chance to ride that Wii-wave. Now it will be an uphill battle for Nintendo.
In America they have to go up against the beast called Xbox 360 while in Europe they are up against the PS3. I don't see either console losing its throne this year. Japan is a different story though. It seems to be selling well there above PS3.
| lordmandeep said: Wow AC3 is nuts. Going to sell 13 + million Units on Both systems combined. Black Ops 2 has shown some nice legs as well, its now only 4% back from MW3. However MW3 has an extra holiday week. It will be telling after new Years if BO2 sells more like BO or more like MW3. |
Black Ops 2 is undertracked on PS3.(probably on 360 as well)
If you don't belive me then feel free to make a new account on XBL or PSN. Play a few minutes until you enter the leaderboards...tell me what number you are.
@VGKing I think the idea of launching WiiU one year ago is a pretty valid one. I think the whole motion+ initiative was a bit of a debacle, though Sports Resort obviously sold well. But if Skyward Sword had been built from the ground up for WiiU and NintendoLand launched with it last year, even at a slightly higher price and in lesser quantities it might have been a good idea. Super Mario Bros. U could have then followed it up this year with Pikmin which was intentionally delayed, and the 3rd party titles would have launched simultaniously with other platforms. I agree that over the last two years quite a few Wii owners have picked up 360's or PS3's and Nintendo could have somewhat prevented that.
That said, on a larger scale launching last year could have been a disaster. The extra cost of the system and the high yen could have been major trouble. As it stands Nintendo may have timed things perfect, with the launch of WiiU matching the falling yen and generating maximum profit, and they still get a year's head start on the competition. Time will tell if Nintendo lost too much good will in the year that Wii was basically a corpse.

Digital sales. People are underestimating digital sales IMO. Look at the report regarding UK digital sales for 2012. software sales numbers here are purely indicative now as far as I am concerned. |
Black Ops 2 isn't available digitally on PSN or XBL.

Digital sales???

Wow :s That's bad.
I think 2013 will have a more accelared decline . The market is stale and boring to say the least.
But what amazes me is the 6.2 million software sales for the Wii o_O. I mean the system has not had any ''AAA'' release titles in 2012 except Just Dance 4 and arguably Xenoblade Chronicles. The sales are beyond me.

and undertracked Worldwide, by quite a bit

Not that either. Player 2 isn't ranked in the leaderboards.
In Black Ops 2 playing splitscreen gives you all the gear that the 1st player unlocked. Any further leveling you do isn't saved and is reset once you stop playing.
