I wonder why the Microsoft fans feel the need to post so much Sony news!

This is good news, or at least I thought.  This means Sony is financially stable......

BTW i like both sony and MSFT so try not to jump to conclusions.  You know it is possible to be a fan of both. So relax

The possibility of bankruptcy was looking relatively high as big companies go, but the falling yen should work wonders. The high debt level is still scary, but a 90 yen per $1 is possible in the very near future. This should turn Sony profitable and provide some breathing room should more economic crisis rock the world.

As of right now, they look to be doing fine :)  I mean they downgraded and if they don't start improving things they will fall a little further, but unless they make some massive mistakes they should be fine.  Personally I'm really happy about that. Who knows maybe they will be able to upgrade in the future again if what you are saying is true

MS fans really get the itch to comment negatively on sony, then lament why they don't have many people (ms fans) supporting their trolling act.
On topic, sorry doomsayers and haters, sony isn't going anywhere. They have divisions that fetch enormous profits, like sony pictures, financials, even ps brand is the most profitable gaming brand right now (check latest figures, sony ps division has a operating profit of 29million $, while ms has 19m). If the worst comes, they could just leave the TV market and earn billions again.
To see how good sony pictures is performing, see this-

Again, get your facts straight ms fans.

Sorry dude, I was a bit too harsh in the first sentence, but 2 years is pretty bad and wrong forcast. Also, this same credit companies completely lost the plot in 2008 when the global crisis occurred, so they are hardly reliable. I think Kaz is doing a really great job, but nothing can be said with certainty before 2012 report comes in April next year.

No worries.  And I don't know how reliable they are but if it is true they are stable so that is a big plus.  As long as the company keeps turning up a profit they should be fine.  And the only way they will go bankrupt is if they make massive mistakes and that is doubtful.

I think Sony is definitely going to be turning things around next gen. The PS4, at the very worst, will be sold at break even or a slight loss. So nothing like the ~$250 they were losing with each PS3 sale at the beginning of this gen. PS Plus will be there from the get go to help bring in extra money for PSN. I expect that the gaming branch shouldn't see any losses at that point.

And honestly, if Sony can't turn their TV branch around within 1-2 years, they should consider just dropping the whole thing.

Unless the PS4 ends up being a massive failure (which I don't see it happening tbh) Sony's game division (which is the most important to us) isn't going anywhere. Sony definitely have problems right now but all of their chances have to be against them in order to go down.
