Forums - Sony - Did Kratos become Jesus/God?

In my personal canon the ending meant Athena became God. I mean her spirit blowing over the formless chaos and all. Maybe he is Samael, the archangel of death in the judaic myths, or even Adam, perhaps...

Oooh how about that. There's a chance Aphrodite survived right? Maybe she became Lilith.

I don't know about becoming God since ya know... someone had to make her a god in greece before she ascended. But she definatly became something spiritually that is of higher being. Also, if you remember she wanted to keep the power from humans. So that's definatly not the judeo christian god

Haha damn I like that, but I think Kratos' mightve given her aids considering his track record XD

I don't know about you guys but I really dislike Kratos as a character. I thought Gow3 was fun and all but I couldn't get behind the main character at all, too much of an asshole in my opinion.

Ghost of Sparta explains why Kratos is such an asshole.

Oh.. well that changes everything.

You know what'd be cool?
If GoW4 comes out and we play as this random dude who eventually goes on to confront Kratos who lives and is a god or some shit. And towards the end, theres a whole "I.. am your FATHER"

XD

In my opinion whatever happens in GoW is justifible to him being an ass hole. I'm playing through GoS right now. Just got to Sparta.  Whatever happens is just extra.

And for those saying Kratos doesn't have a humane side must not have played 1, 2 or 3... ya know considering he is pissed that the gods tricked him for killing is family that he loved and cared about. On top of that he also mourns their death and tries to get them back and see them numerous occasions and feels guilt.... I don't know about you guys but love, guilt, rage ect are all human emotions.

That would be part of the point... perhaps? I mean, at least in the old testament God's deeds doesn't fit exactly what we would consider as inconditionally good for humans. I've seen some crazy satanists out there who claim Jesus was actually Satan who come to deliver us from God's tyranny. If they wanted Kratos to be Jesus that could be it...

Ghost of Sparta is between GOW 1 and 2. After Ghost of Sparta GOW 2 picks up with Kratos being unreasonably uneasy and in a chaotic mood. Finish Ghost of Sparta to find out why. Kratos was never really a major asshole in GOW but after GOS he goes crazy with rage, causing the gods to overthrow him in part two when he returns to Olympus. There was something the gods did not want him to see and begged him not to pursue, that he did and here we are.

**Spoilers for chains of olympus**

When did Chains of Olympus take place? Right before one? Because he is on the same cliff right? I haven't played one in so long. Anyway, I think the burning rage Kratos exhibits throughout the series is justifiable just from the first game alone. Ares tricks Kratos into killing his own family. Adding fuel to the fire Kratos finally gets what he wants the most. Which is to be with his family, but in order to save pretty much the world, and her, he needs to leave her.

Anyway, I just don't get the people saying he doesn't show a humane side. Since when is deep love for your family, guilt, and rage inhumane?
