Ghost of Sparta explains why Kratos is such an asshole.

In my opinion whatever happens in GoW is justifible to him being an ass hole. I'm playing through GoS right now. Just got to Sparta. Whatever happens is just extra.
And for those saying Kratos doesn't have a humane side must not have played 1, 2 or 3... ya know considering he is pissed that the gods tricked him for killing is family that he loved and cared about. On top of that he also mourns their death and tries to get them back and see them numerous occasions and feels guilt.... I don't know about you guys but love, guilt, rage ect are all human emotions.

Ghost of Sparta is between GOW 1 and 2. After Ghost of Sparta GOW 2 picks up with Kratos being unreasonably uneasy and in a chaotic mood. Finish Ghost of Sparta to find out why. Kratos was never really a major asshole in GOW but after GOS he goes crazy with rage, causing the gods to overthrow him in part two when he returns to Olympus.

**Spoilers for chains of olympus**
When did Chains of Olympus take place? Right before one? Because he is on the same cliff right? I haven't played one in so long. Anyway, I think the burning rage Kratos exhibits throughout the series is justifiable just from the first game alone. Ares tricks Kratos into killing his own family. Adding fuel to the fire Kratos finally gets what he wants the most. Which is to be with his family, but in order to save pretty much the world, and her, he needs to leave her.
Anyway, I just don't get the people saying he doesn't show a humane side. Since when is deep love for your family, guilt, and rage inhumane?
