Sorry, I know I have to respect your opinion, but I made it VERY clear in another post that 10 years is IMPOSSIBLE.

The PS2 will probably make it 10 years, and it does not have the advantage of being the best BD player out there.

CPU wise, I doubt the next MS box will surpass the PS3 (it's even possible the PS4 will use the CELL). The only real limitation for years is memory, and the PS2 is chugging along with what little it has.

The fact that the Wii is doing so well is why I think the PS3 will have such a long life. Right now the people who buy the PS3 want the most technologically advanced games, the people buying the Wii want fun games at the expense of visuals. They find more value in less tech for less money.

I think the market that the Wii is excelling in, the PS3 will take over in 4-5 years.

once nintendo comes out witha new upgraded will with better graphics and uch its a new gen and the current one is over IMO

After doing some math, nintendo needs to increase their production up to two million a month to reach 150 million, which isn't unlikely, so I'll need to change my prediction.

I'm guessing they'll increase it to 2.0 this year in June, 2.3 next year, and 2.6 the summer after next, so around 180 million-200 million*.

Wii - 100-120 million
X360 - 50 million
PS3 - 45 million

 Note: putting the X360 below 40 mill is ridiculous, like I've seen some ppl do. At a price of $350 in two years it sold 16.5 mill already! 8 mill in 2007. This year will be no different. Or wait... it has huge price dropping potential, that the PS3 doesn't have. 10 mill X360s in 2008. And then you've got 2009, 2010 and 2011 before the generation is over.

I think Avi had a bad influence on me. I predicted that Wii would sell 42M after 08. Now I think the Wii will sell 200M + lifetime, I've lost my mind...
