Every modern country right now is a mix of socialism and capitalism, only backwards countries have only one or the other (North Korea, Somalia). If you're poor enough 500 extra dollars a year matters a lot.

so the fiscal cliff was resolved and they raised taxes by 60 billion per year which is supposed to reduce the deficit. then they immediately spend the full 60 billion dollars on new sandy relief. Not only did we get no reductions in spending, we got more spending that have already cancelled out the tax raises within days of resolving the fiscal cliff.

and I all I ever hearis that we have a revenue problem because the top 1% dont pay enough. crazyness
