Official list.

any other nation using PAL will also be using a machine supplied by one of those countries.

Yeap.

Like Brazil and all Latin American are SCEA.

Sony PAL terrytories...

United Kingdom
Ireland
Europe
Australia
Croatia
Denmark
Estonia
Finland
Greece
Iceland
Latvia
New Zealand
Norway
Pakistan
Serbia
South Africa
Sweden
Switzerland
Russia
Ukraine
Turkey
India

so that means the whole middle east is not included in Sony's anouncement which explains why the numbers look off compaired to VGChartz numbers.

i remember before excluding the non-eurupe countries in the new charts... the middle east with south asia and africa had the PS3 at near 5 million units SOLD  a year ago and also noticed that it sold at a faster pace than the PS2 did in the same time frame compared!

to back that up.. i live in saudi arabia and the playstation brand is still as powerfull  as it was during the PS2 days and maybe even more. but to be fair the Xbox brand also got stronger with the Xbox 360 than last generation but not competitive at all to the dominant PS3.

It was kind of silly to bring up the overtrack BS in this thread anyway knowing Sony had recently shipped over 70 million console world wide.

exactly.

I'm pretty sure all consoles in Latin America have always been NTSC. You have to change the picture mode on your TV if it does not do so automatically otherwise images are going to be black and white. Even for those produced locally since the games come from the USA. I imagine even more so due to the whole new Blu-Ray region stuff.

If the 30 million mark has been indeed crossed recently across EU and PAL territories - how far off are the VG Chartz numbers ?

Are we talking 1 million units ? 2 million units ? or more ??

Brazil not... now the new TVs have all international modes (NTSC, PAL, etc) so it's not more a issue.

But the five years old TV are all PAL-M (a brasilian picture mode totaly imcompatible with PAL... just similar name)... so any hardware brought outside Brazil needs a conversor or you can play it in black and write only.

why

If you add the 30 million plus what we know in NA and japan

NA : 25

Japan:8.7

Europe/Pal : 30 million

we have : we have around 64 million.

Kowenicki screaming that the PS3 is overtracked despite not knowing EXACTLY what regions count as PAL, what regions Vgchartz counts as PAL, what this weeks sales on Vgchartz are yet and how far over 30 million the PS3 is when all the press release states is the PS3 has passed the 30 million mark. Hahaha brilliant, *facepalm*.

screaming? I'm making a logical assumption based on what we know so far.  If more information becomes availbalke then that might change.

calm your self down my little friend.

If this was a thread about 360 and a number with the same indication it would be one hell of a busy thread I can tell you.

Lol as per usual you're one of the main cheerleaders in claiming PS3 is overtracked or Xbox360 is undertracked in a thread, it's beginning getting quite tiresome.

And it's not 'logical' it's just wishfull thinking, and what's even more hilarious is you're continued disillusionment that if it was the 'other way round' Sony fans would be worse *rollseyes*

The simple fact is the number and the potential regions to which it may or may not apply to are too vague to claim over or under tracked, to argue otherwise is asinine, but i'm sure you'll keep going.

and?

We also have 9m rest of world, some of which needs to be added to Europe for this pal measurement.  It needs to be 2m to make this right.

So to make this right we have to take 2m away from others.

That means we have c 71m sold through as of next weeks numbers.

Whats your point?

My point still stands it was silly of you to bring up overtrack in this tread. It was not needed.
