If I recall correctly it will be. I'd say it's going to release at the end of this year on the 360 and NeXt
Tease.

That's pretty surprising considering Activision is backing them on it.

True, Id expect full exclusivity. Microsoft and Activision are relatively close.

You said MS was incompentant with their studios. Their exclusives and their game sales say other wise. They keep good amounts of time between releases of the exclusives so they stay fresh. What is your problem with their games? There are plenty of games released for the 360, plent of high quality games, and all genres are coverd. If I am not mistaken sony started in the console biz by buying games also. what is wrong with that? they can buy a game or a studio no difference. Someone posted the list of all the MS studios, and they are growing. Seems like they are actually following in sonys footsteps, two gens in and now they are really recruiting and maintaing studios.

Theres no freshness, new IP's are fresh. Microsofts fresh titles are in the first three years of their console cycles. Their top titles much like Sony are on two year cycles, but the difference Sony has more new titles coming out that no ones seen and coming from so many genres. I have no problem with Halo and Gears, they are my reasons for buying an Xbox 360 in the first place. This isnt even about Sony, this is about Microsoft and their game development. Microsoft has been confronted time and time again over the last three years over their weak first party development and they've admitted that they are riding off of third parties. Microsoft has found a way to get around competitive first party development by having a cyclical use of two games plus COD on a cycle. Hopefully next gen Microsoft puts their new first party companies to the test. Why do you think people never expect much from Microsoft at E3? Once you figure that out, it becomes common sense what the problem is.
Gametrailers Bonus Round talking about it last sunday:

Well, still doesn't interest me one bit. I was looking for one thing whether Microsoft would use Blue-Ray or something else in the nextbox. They stated they would never go for Blue-Ray and it looks like they might have a proprietary hardware. It's yet to be seen.

Its foolish to NOT have blu-ray.

I dont think they ever stated that.

No, I'd expect almost the exact opposite actually. To my knowledge Activision has never given even timed exclusivity on one of their retail games (the only thing they do is timed exclusives for some DLC for some games) let alone full exclusivity. So I find it very surprising that they would do something like that.
