How does the GTX 680 and i7 @ 3.5 GHz fall into the Xbox 3 and PS4 rumored specs?

The 680 is more powerful than the rumoured (I think likely) PS4 GPU, but it's not a large leap, and consoles can achieve more with less... so it should produce similar results. I'm basing that judgement on assuming the PS4's GPU will be based on the 7870, or the APU's GPU + 7770

Good to know. Seems like we might get that 1080p 60fps box. We might get that million polygon Nathan Drake too maybe?

Before the PS3 everyone was nice to me :(

So who else wants to fight me on the fact that consoles have been holding graphics back hard since that demo didn't even tax a single 680? :P

What you said is obvious but at the same time PC gaming is holding itself back because such projects would not be profitable on the PC platform.
And the PC focused companies that could aren't doing it (Blizzard & Valve). At least not yet.

Cut fps in half and I am fine should decrease the computational power. 32gb Ram is not really required this machine is probably also used for videoediting, photoshop and other stuff.

I think 7th gen lasted too long is the problem, we wouldn't have this issue if it was still the standard 3-5 year cycle but I guess the economy doesn't allow that these days, which kinda sucks.
