Forums - Nintendo - What other Games could nintendo pull a Bayonetta 2 on?

I don't know, but what I do know is I'd laugh the most if it was Final Fantasy Versus.

NOOOOOOOOOOOOO D:

Seriously, though, I don't think there's any one game or franchise they could scoop up that would have the impact of them buying out Sega entirely. Shenmue 3 would still be great on it's own though.

Have some time to kill? Read my shitty games blog. http://www.pixlbit.com/blogs/586/gigantor21

all ninty has to do is fund beyoneta2, vanquish2, and valkyria chronicales, and i'll kill to get a WiiU.

You keep saying this kind of thing. Who honestly cares if you will buy a WiiU or not.

I really think if they snagged a sequel to sleeping dogs they would push some systems. That game is developing a serious cult following, and it's a game the could ease the lack of GTA5.

Pulling another Bayonetta would be a bad idea, and you'll see what i mean after the game releases.

Unless you're on the development team of Bayonetta 2, you would not be in a position to judge.

It's not going to be up to development team when the game fails to sell. So I really don't understand what your saying. The game has too few fans to begin with and they pissed them all off announcing this game only on WiiU. So what makes you think they'll run out to buy a wii U for it? They wont.

Really? Cause I could have sworn there were plenty happy fans amidst those agry ones, people just chose to ignore them. And who told you the game will fail to sell?

1. The game must be owned by an independent studio
2. The game must be lacking adequate funding

I don't think Shenmue or Beyond Good and Evil fall into this category. Although, Nintendo might be able to work something out with Sega and Ubisoft.

I describe myself as a little dose of toxic masculinity.

Then they are not really true fans to the game to start with now are they?

I think you missed -- or chose to miss -- the idea behind the OP. Even if Bayonetta sells poorly, the fact that it can only be played on Wii U builds the brand. It makes the system's library more diverse and it proves that Nintendo is ready and willing to fund niche titles and invest in games that are usually found elsewhere. That alone is a victory.

Builds what brand? Nintendos is already there. Bayonetta on the other hand isn't and people wont buy a wii U to play this game. So it builds nothing but losses for the company. The only way to build this brand is to have it on as many systems as possible.

Brands always need to be built. In this case its the Wii U brand. How will people not buy a Wii U for this when I've read people's comments from this website who said they would? Huh? And WHY would Nintendo publish a title thats going to be on competitors systems? If Sega doesn't want to spend money for Bayo2 to be multiplat then Nintendo should be able to spend their money for themselves.

There were more pissed off ones that happy, Look at the sale of the first game with a with a combined user base of nearly 120 million. That's why I don't think it's going to sell.
